In 1944, Dorothy Hill left Blackburn for Bletchley Park to work in the top secret team cracking coded messages from German Generals in WW2.
Her efforts helped the Allies to triumph in the Battle of the Bulge and eventually in winning the war.
In recognition of her efforts, she has been awarded the Legion d'Honneur by France, aged 95, to thank her for her service in protecting the freedom of Europe. Well done Dorothy! 👏🏽🎖
