It is with deep sorrow that we announce June 30th June 2025, will mark our final day serving the community. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors permanently. We take immense pride in what we have accomplished over the past three years, and we could not have achieved this without your unwavering support.
Together, we have celebrated our achievements, including three awards and numerous commendations, as well as being featured in local media. Our mission was to share the story of a young woman who faced challenges within the Mental Health Services, and we believe we have succeeded in giving a voice to those who need it. We have fostered a sense of community through diversity and inclusion, ensuring everyone felt valued and treated equally.
Our efforts have impacted hundreds of lives, providing essential services such as food support, assistance with homelessness, one-on-one guidance, help with benefit claims, support for those fleeing domestic violence, clothing donations, safe spaces on Christmas Day and a counselling service. We have promoted wellness through walks, activities, life coaching, yoga, outings, and much more.
We have been a free-based service & nor do we take a salary. While we have managed to sustain our operations thus far, the costs of running the organisation have exceeded our income. Along this journey, we have encountered remarkable individuals and received tremendous support from local organisations, and we feel truly fortunate to have shared this experience with all of you. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who entrusted us with their mental health, and we wish you nothing but the best. Remember, you are not obligated to share your story with the world, but you owe yourself the freedom to seek help without shame.
A special thank you to our Volunteers for all your dedication and hard work. We also extend our gratitude to the Coleman family for allowing us the honor of carrying their beautiful daughter's name.
Personal Message from Jessica, Our Managing Director: I have dedicated the past 15 years to serving this community, recognising its diverse needs. Unfortunately, organisations like ours that effectively engage with the community often lack the support they need to thrive beyond their first year. What we accomplished was truly special; we took our mission to the streets and raised funds through community events. I am currently studying to become a therapist and will qualify next year, and I assure you this is not the end of my journey with you all. I want to express my profound gratitude for all the love, trust, and support we have received over the years. Thank you! 🙏💛🌻
