MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.
It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.
Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.
You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.

If you're unable to make your doctor's appointment, cancelling it means that someone who really needs to see a doctor can use that slot.

It's easy to cancel an appointment. You can either call the practice or use the online system on the Tutbury Practice website: https://thetutburypractice.nhs.uk

In the past four weeks, we've had 115 missed appointments—that's roughly 19 hours of appointment time that could have helped patients with urgent needs.

So remember, if you don't need it or can't make it... cancel your appointment.
