Do you feel a bit under the weather but it's not serious enough to see a GP?

Remember, there are seven common conditions which are covered by the Pharmacy First scheme.

These are: sinusitis, sore throat, earache, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women.

The scheme allows pharmacists to assess and treat these common conditions and, when appropriate, prescribe antibiotics, without the need for a GP appointment.
Sinusitis: For ages 12 and over.
Sore throat: For ages 5 and over.
Earache: For ages 1 to 17.
Infected insect bite: For ages 1 and over.
Impetigo: For ages 1 and over.
Shingles: For ages 18 and over.
Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women: For women aged 16 to 64.

As well as these conditions, your pharmacy can now provide you with oral contraception, without a prescription or the need to see a GP.

How to take care of your baby or toddler's teeth.

Once your baby's first milk tooth breaks through, it's time to start showing them good dental hygiene.

It's important for your child to have healthy teeth. They help them eat, speak, and smile confidently. Milk teeth also help to align and space their permanent teeth.

You can help your little one maintain a lifetime of healthy smiles by teaching them good dental habits, such as regular brushing and not eating or drinking too much sugar.
