Today I was reminded that it’s International Women’s Day. I actually didn’t realise until a client came in and told me something that really meant a lot — that I’ve been an inspiration to many people through what I’ve achieved.
It made me stop and reflect on the journey. Opening my business back in 2009, getting through recessions, navigating COVID, and still being here today. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of training so many amazing girls and creating a salon where people can step away from the stresses of everyday life, relax, and feel good about themselves.
Sometimes when you’re busy working and pushing forward, you don’t stop to think about the impact you may have had on others. Hearing those words today reminded me why I started and why I continue to love what I do and to stay positive throughout hurdles thrown at you in life.
To all the women building businesses, supporting others, and quietly making a difference every day — today is for you too. Happy International Women’s Day.
