EV adoption is accelerating around the world, but the fire safety conversation is only just beginning.

Last week in England, professionals from across the fire safety, EV charging, insurance, and facilities sectors from around the world came together for EV Fire Protection’s EV FirePro demonstration days hosted by Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy

The sessions explored the unique challenges of EV battery fires in enclosed car parks and demonstrated how is designed to provide targeted suppression and cooling at the source of the fire.

Seeing so many organisations engage in this conversation and explore practical solutions was encouraging. As EV adoption grows, collaboration across industries will be critical to developing safer standards for buildings, charging infrastructure, and emergency response.

The rapid growth of electric vehicles is also changing fire safety requirements in parking facilities and charging environments. During the EV FirePro Demo Days held in England, experts examined the risks associated with battery fires as well as solutions for managing and limiting fire spread.

This is not AI imagery this video was taken live during our recent demonstration day of the EV Fire Pro. The footage exemplifies what is going on with water under an EV once the EV Fire Pro has been automatically activated by a rise in abnormal temperature 🔥

Water misting cooling the undercarage of the vehicle, attacking any flames and dispersing vapour. The specialy designed spray nozzles to each side of the EV Fire Pro plate project water droplets and misting beyond the sill of the vehicle to adjacent vehicles and infrastructure giving immediate protection 💪🏻

The early automatic response from the EVFP gives emergency services time to attend, take control of the scene and reduce collateral damage, at the same time protecting our amazing emergency responders 👏

The first of its kind fixed underside vehicle fire suppression system from EV Fire Protection that’s proven in testing is the only real option for monitoring EV’s in high risk areas 🚙⚡️🔥
