Our residents at The Beeches have been busy little elves, bringing the festive spirit to life by decorating the halls and lounges!

There has been so much fun, laughter, and teamwork as we hung ornaments, strung garlands, and carefully placed the stars on top of our beautiful Christmas trees. From colourful lights and handmade golden snowflakes to adorable penguin decorations, every tree looks unique and absolutely stunning!

It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year, and seeing the joy on everyone's faces as they get ready for Christmas makes our hearts full. ❤️

We had such a wonderful time surprising our amazing colleague (and mum-to-be!), Lauren, with a baby shower today! 🥳

It’s official: it’s a GIRL! 💖

We are all so incredibly excited for her and can’t wait to welcome the newest, tiny member of The Beeches' extended work family. Thank you to everyone who helped organise the decorations, the beautiful cake, and the generous gifts.

Wishing her all the best as she gets ready for her little one. We already miss you and can't wait for updates! 🤰🏻

Our residents enjoyed a cheerful Country and Western day filled with music, dancing and easygoing games that brought a warm touch of country fun to the home. 🤠

Themed game days like this help boost wellbeing through gentle movement shared laughter and social connection. It was lovely to see everyone join in at their own pace and enjoy the atmosphere.

A big thank you to our team for putting on such a rootin tootin afternoon of smiles and simple pleasure!

Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of friendly competition? 🎈

Residents recently enjoyed a lively session of balloon tennis filled with laughter and plenty of movement. Activities like this are a simple yet effective way to use everyday items that support coordination and physical activity while also boosting activity and wellbeing levels.

It was great to see everyone joining in, encouraging each other and creating a lovely buzz around the home!

Focus and fun at The Beeches 🎨

What a wonderfully colourful and focused morning we've had!

Our residents were deep in concentration with a brilliant cognitive and dexterity game. The challenge was to look at a pattern card and replicate it by sorting these bright, colourful eggs into the cartons.

It was so lovely to see everyone engaged, testing their hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills. Activities like this are not only a bit of fun but also fantastic for keeping our minds active and our hands busy.

Just look at that concentration (and the wonderful smiles)! 😊

What beats some friendly competition?

It was the best concentration faces when some residents enjoyed a competitive game of dominoes! We love to support residents in continuing to play games as it helps maintain cognitive health and is a great mood booster.

Plus, a classic game is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Here at The Beeches Residential Home, we specialise in all aspects of dementia care.

While providing high-quality care is at the heart of what we do, it’s the personal and considerate delivery that makes us special.

Situated in the picturesque village of Ixworth, near Bury St Edmunds, our Grade ll listed home supports a small community of 44 residents. Our priority is in delivering care that maintains the dignity and individuality of each person, providing both physical and mental stimulation aimed specifically at those living with dementia.

Our facilities have been tastefully adapted to provide easy access for those with lower mobility, providing suitable wheelchair access along with a lift to all floors. All of our rooms have top of the range facilities to make sure residents are comfortable, including TV points, en-suite facilities and comfortable furnishings.
