As part of our latest Light a Candle campaign, we’ve shared virtual memorial candles to help honour loved ones around the Christmas period. Thank you to everyone who created a memorial candle.

Christmas can be a tender time for those who are grieving.

Here in Bury St Edmunds, we know many families will be feeling the absence of someone dearly missed this Christmas.

At Armstrongs, we want you to know that your feelings are valid — whether this time brings quiet reflection, moments of sadness, or small sparks of comfort. Grief doesn’t follow the calendar, and it’s okay to move through the Christmas period in whatever way feels right for you.

If you’re finding things difficult, please be gentle with yourself. Take each day at your own pace, and allow space for both the memories and the emotions that come with them.

From our family-run team at Armstrongs, we are holding you in our thoughts this Christmas.

As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

From 15 to 21 December we’ll be posting digital candles in memory of those who can’t be with us during the festive season. If you’d like to create a virtual candle, please click the following link where you can choose a design and write a short message to a loved one.

There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

This week we were delighted to welcome Wendy back to Armstrong’s! With Royna Hill Nick showed them around our new offices at 24 St Andrews Street North.

Bob was delighted to see her too, although we couldn’t persuade her to start arranging again sadly!

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

Coffee morning had a Christmas feeling today, with sausage rolls and mince pies.
