Stephanie's Therapies

Stephanie's Therapies Massage, Meditation and Yoga Natural healing became my focus in life during my time living in Indonesia.

It was whilst I was living in this beautiful part of the world that I first experienced massage and natural remedies. I realized it is possible to heal through therapeutic touch. My interest in aromatherapy followed the birth of my daughter when I discovered the healing benefits of essential oils. I am passionate about aromatherapy and the use of essential oils as a supportive treatment and am committed to expanding my knowledge and sharing this with my clients. My treatments are relaxing in an environment that allows you to switch off completely. I believe once the mind has relaxed then tension that is held in the body releases more easily. To achieve this I use a combination of skills and techniques which are tailored to the individual, where my approach is firm but gentle. Pressure is adjusted appropriately depending on the client’s needs; some deep tissue techniques are incorporated, especially where there is postural stiffness and similar conditions. My ultimate aim is for you to leave feeling lighter, physically and emotionally, and back in touch with the real you again. Specialising in massage and yoga for pregnancy and babies, I am a pregnancy yoga and infant massage instructor and have received advanced training in pre and post natal care. I am passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. This is a time of huge change for you, and my aim is to provide a nurturing and supportive place for you to explore this journey in your own unique way. During my treatments and classes you have the opportunity to deeply relax and learn to connect with yourself and your baby.

Eighteen months ago, I closed my therapy room in Bury St Edmunds and moved my life aboard Moon River, a beautiful wide beam boat in the fens, embarking on a transformative journey. This period has allowed me to connect deeply with nature and the changing seasons, enriching my work as a coach and therapist profoundly.

It has been a delight to welcome some of you to the river! During this time, I have invited women to my boat in the fens, assisting them in regaining equilibrium and discovering ways to incorporate a cyclical rhythm into their lives.

My work as a coach and therapist has been evolving over the years and I am now so proud to be offering Menstrual Therapy for women who would like to understand and live in harmony with their menstrual cycles.

Menstrual Therapy is a holistic approach to healing the menstrual cycle that goes beyond traditional methods by putting the mind-body connection at the heart of your healing. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach—it is tailored to your needs, helping you:

*Navigate the challenges of the menstrual cycle, perimenopause and menopause.

*Understand the psychological effects of hormonal changes.

*Use proven somatic practices to reconnect with yourself.

These sessions are set against the gentle rhythm of life on the Moon River widebeam boat—a unique and calming backdrop for your sessions.

Sessions are available Tuesdays - Fridays 10am - 5pm, Saturdays 10am - 4pm

Isleham Marina, Cambridgeshire

£100 for 90 minutes - You are so welcome to 20% off your first session using the code FLOW at the checkout.

STEPHANIE'S THERAPIES IS NOW CLOSED

Over the last 15 years have had the privilege of working with thousands of women, providing emotional and therapeutic support on their journey menarche to menopause. It has been an honour to open my therapy room door and welcome each and every one of you.

During this time I have been listening deeply, hearing your stories of tiredness, stress and burnout, and how these precious moments in my therapy room were pockets of peace in a world full of busy and overwhelm.

As a response to you, I have developed my offerings and expanded into meditation and coaching to provide you with a cyclical rhythm to find balance and peace amidst the frenzy of modern life.

I HAVE MOVED TO THE RIVER
As the therapy room door closes, another one opens. This door is a special one, that will take you off the land and onto water, where I warmly invite you to spend and hour or two with me, unravelling your busy mind and find some balanced solutions through coaching and meditation. Maybe we’ll take a little cruise along the river, for those wanting more time out.

FOLLOW MY JOURNEY
Some time ago I knew I wanted to live with a lot less, and create more freedom to be outside in nature. This is no small undertaking as I had to get rid of the accumulation of most of my belongings after 46 years on this earth. It feels thrilling to be letting go of all this STUFF! I’ve always wanted to leave a legacy of lightness rather than shipping containers, yet it’s been nerve-wracking as I step into the unknown. I’ll be sharing my journey as I find a new life on the river and I invite you to follow me here:

https://www.facebook.com/featherlightliving/
https://www.instagram.com/featherlight_living/

You can also subscribe to my newsletter where you will receive recordings of meditations, be the first to hear about my retreats, and river life, and receive nourishing tips for living lightly in a cyclical rhythm: https://featherlightliving.com/

With great thanks and appreciation for each woman who has stepped into my therapy room over the years in Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds. It has been an honour to serve you and I hope that our paths may cross again.

Sending warm wishes for your health and well being,

Steph xx

Would you like your own personalised yoga nidra to listen to? I create bespoke yoga nidra recordings tailor-made to your preferences.

These are especially helpful if you are stuck with a particular problem, are experiencing insomnia, or would like one to help your mindset for birth etc..

We chat on zoom for a 60 minute consultation where we get to the heart of things and map out what your needs are. This is very much a co-creation, I listen carefully to your thoughts and intentions so I can create a supportive nidra that feels right to you. We will look at everything that is possible in your life, examine what you want to move away from, and what you want more of.

You will be sent your recording within 24 hours of our consultation. This is for you to listen to on a daily basis, giving the brain consistent new imagery, and a new 'mind movie' to create sustainable change, peace, and inner calm.

Prices start from £60 per recording. Please get in touch via DM or email: hello@featherlightliving.com to find out more.

Sending warm wishes and great thanks to all my clients as we draw towards the end of the year. It has been an absolute pleasure to see each and every one of you supporting you through these roller-coaster times.

This may have not been the year that I moved house and bought a boat, however, what 2022 has taught me is that I can create dreams - I am just not in control of the timeline - and I am OK with that!

Thank you so much for all your kind support and for bringing your wonderful energy into the therapy room and meditation classes.

The therapy room will be closed from the 22nd of December and reopens on the 4th of January. Book your moment of calm here: https://bookings.gettimely.com/stephaniestherapies/bb/book

Yoga nidra classes return on the 20th of January - a possible supper club is on the horizon - I will share more details of this the New Year. 🥰

If you would like to make 2023 the year that you create more balance and prioritise your well-being please do visit my other website https://www.featherlightliving.com/ For more details of my coaching, meditation classes, and retreats for 2023.

Meanwhile, sending you all warm wishes for your health and well-being. I very much look forward to connecting with you in 2023.

The Last Time

From the moment you hold your baby in your arms, you will never be the same

You might long for the person you were before
When you had freedom and time
And nothing in particular to worry about

You will know tiredness like you never knew it before
Days will run into days that are exactly the same
Full of feedings and burping
Nappy changes and crying
Whining and fighting
Naps or a lack of naps
It might seem like a never-ending cycle

But don't forget...

There is a last time for everything
There will come a time when you will feed your baby for the very last time
They will fall asleep on you after a long day
And it will be the last time you ever hold your sleeping child

One day you will carry them on your hip then set them down
And never pick them up that way again
You will scrub their hair in the bath for one last time
And from that day on they will want to bathe alone

They will hold your hand to cross the road
Then will never reach for it again
They will creep into your room at midnight for cuddles
And it will be the last night you ever wake to this

One afternoon you will sing "the wheels on the bus" and do all the actions
Then never sing them that song again

They will kiss you goodbye at the school gate
The next day they will ask to walk to the gate alone

You will read a final bedtime story and wipe your last dirty face
They will run to you with arms raised for the very last time.

The thing is, you won't even know it's the last time
Until there are no more times. And even then, it will take you a while to realize.

So while you are living in these times, remember there are only so many of them and when they are gone, you will yearn for just one more day of them.
For one last time.

How brave you are for slowing down. For not finishing that to-do list.

How courageous you are for not crossing that finish line, because your body said “enough.”

How fearless you are for choosing the quiet of your soul over those voices driving you always towards more.

How bold, how rebellious -
you, out there,
honoring your own natural rhythm,
going against the culture’s breakneck speed.

We tend to make heroes of those hungry with ambition, relentlessly doing, producing always more.

We applaud those who refuse to stop or rest. Who push themselves so hard in the name of achievement, that they sacrifice their body and soul and heart in the process. We celebrate those who are ill or aging but never show it, never slow down, never reveal a moment of vulnerability.

This drivenness can be heroic, at times. It can be necessary for our survival or the greater good.

But,

I want to make heroes of those who slow down.

I want to make heroes of those who listen to their bodies, who do not strive for more than what the soul truly needs.

I want to make heroes of those who do not force or push, but surrender to each moment as it opens.

I want to applaud those who may not be driven towards success as we know it, but instead are nurturing something deep and subtle and needed.

I want to celebrate those brave enough to cease all doing, even for a second, and sit with the ache in their hearts. A task many find harder than summiting the highest peak.

I want to make heroes of those who honor their limitations. Who are unable to keep up with the busy-ness of our times, yet show up to each profound, necessary moment.

It is truly an act of courage and rebellion to do any such thing, in a world demanding you resist your own self, your own rhythm, your own soul.

And the paradox is, that often when we cease our incessant doing, even for a minute, and listen to that quiet voice within, we discover what it is we absolutely must do, and what instead can fall away.

We finally hear the call towards what serves our soul, and what then will serve the world. Nothing more, nothing less.

A hero is simply someone brave.
So come, be softly brave.
Be a new, quieter kind of hero.
Few may applaud, it’s true, but your soul certainly will.

About Stephanie

I am a mother, yogini, coach and aromatherapist, offering yoga practices, coaching and therapies that specifically nourish and heal, specialising in support for women through all stages and transitions in their lives. Natural healing became my focus in life during my time living in Indonesia. It was whilst I was living in this beautiful part of the world that I first experienced yoga and natural remedies. Plant wisdom is an obsession of mine that is woven into my teachings.

As a life coach I am passionate about empowering women who want to navigate their lives forwards positively and joyfully. I believe the world needs more women who are truly alive and awake in their feminine essence, confidently pursuing their soul’s purpose in a way that doesn’t lead to overwhelm, stress, or burnout.

I work specifically with women in business and personal relationships. I see myself like a lighthouse, shining a light so women may come home to themselves, connect with their power and navigate towards joy.
