The NHS has launched a new online self-assessment tool for women who experience a bleed or spotting theyโ€™ve been through the menopause and who are not on HRT.

Itโ€™s for women in ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฒ, ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐, ๐Ž๐ฅ๐๐ก๐š๐ฆ, ๐‡๐ž๐ฒ๐ฐ๐จ๐จ๐, ๐Œ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐จ๐ง, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‘๐จ๐œ๐ก๐๐š๐ฅ๐ž.

Any bleeding from your va**na after the menopause (when your periods have been stopped for 12 months or more) should be checked out to rule out possible womb cancer.

Shejmin Akhtar, a researcher at University of Liverpool, is inviting South Asian women to take part in a study exploring experiences of autism in adulthood. She hopes to amplify voices that are often missing from existing research.

Women aged 18+ who were born in the UK (or moved here before age five), identify as South Asian, and are fluent in English can take part. The study involves a remote interview lasting about 1 hour 15 minutes, with reimbursement provided. You can skip any questions or stop at any point if you feel uncomfortable.

๐Ÿšจ Emergency Alert Test โ€“ Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm ๐Ÿšจ

The UK Government will be testing the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7th September at around 3pm.

๐Ÿ“ฑ During the test, your phone will:

Make a loud siren sound for about 10 seconds โ€“ even if itโ€™s on silent or vibrate.

Show a message on the screen making it clear this is only a test.

The Emergency Alerts system is designed to warn people about dangers to life, such as extreme weather.

โš ๏ธ Important: If you have a second or hidden phone, please be aware the alert will sound on that device too. You may wish to turn off alerts in advance. Instructions can be found here:
