Part of the last day involves staff creating communication aids to experience using themselves. The staff produced some amazing examples and learned a great deal about the importance of supporting the young people in using their aids.

Day 1 of the 3 day person centred communication course with Lancashire councils childrens service. So far we have heard some lovely examples of person centred communication support. Looking forward to getting to know the staff more and exploring new approaches to commnication

Our vocabulary for this film was requested by Persona Care and Support in Bury. The films were funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and are part of our Communicate and Connect project. We had 4 speech and laguage therapy students on placement for a month and they worked with interns from Digital independent Specialist College ( Disc) in Manchester.
