This photo was taken right after one of my client’s laser hair removal sessions. The redness and little bumps you can see are called perifollicular edema, it simply means the follicles have been targeted properly. It’s nothing to worry about, and in this case it settled down within just a few hours.

Everyone’s skin reacts slightly differently, but this response is very common and completely normal. Think of it as a sign the treatment is doing exactly what it should.

Here are a few simple tips that help calm the skin afterwards:
• Apply a cool compress or soothing aloe vera gel if it feels warm
• Skip hot showers, saunas and exercise for the next 24–48 hours
• Keep the area clean and protected from sun exposure

Your skin will quickly settle, and with every session you’ll be one step closer to smoother, hair free results.
