It was a pleasure to lead the staff at Mulberry Bush Nursery Group in an online relaxation session this evening.

We began with a mindful moment, had a hand and face massage, gently brought awareness to our body through autogenic relaxation, engaged in mindful breathing and journeyed to a peaceful beach through a guided visualisation.

The staff work so hard to care for the children in their nurseries, and it was lovely to be able to provide a space for them to relax and unwind.

It's always a delight to spend time in each of the Mulberry Bush Nursery Group nurseries, supporting the start of their 8 week Preschool mindfulness programme.

The programme runs each year but the attitudes of mindfulness are incorporated into every day.

I'm excited to share that I am now on the next part of my counselling journey and have commenced my Level 6 Supervision Training.

As part of the course, I am looking to offer reduced rate supervision to a small number of supervisees.

If you are a counsellor and are considering a change of supervisor or feel you would benefit from any extra supervision, please do get in touch.

I am a registered member of the BACP and my core training is person-centred. I have a therapy room in Bury and can work face-to-face or online. As a counsellor, I have experience working within the NHS, schools and charity organisations. I have worked in private practice for the past 8 years, and work with adults and young people, in a neuro-affirming, creative way.

I am really proud to have been a part of this project, which is vital in supporting young people who may be struggling to attend school. Spectrum Gaming have a wealth of resources to access.

We received phenomenal feedback from yesterday's webinar on Burnout and Burnout Recovery. This work is collaboration with an incredible team of people and we are hoping it will have a huge impact on how young people are supported.

OUR MINDFULNESS PROGRAMME

Our Mindfulness Programme will start in our Pre-school units from next week for 8 weeks.

Our Mindfulness Programme was designed by our senior team whilst working closely with Aislinn from The Calm Within. The Calm Within

It introduces our children to the calming benefits of focusing their minds.

We are excited to provide a variety of activities and resources that will encourage children to learn to pause and notice how they are feeling, accept and understand why they are experiencing those feelings.

The Pre-school Mindfulness Programme will each week focus on an aspect; sound, touch, breathing, eating, sight, smell, movement and creation.

Children can take part in mindfulness activities throughout the day and spontaneous ‘mindful moments’.

A lovely two days at St Mary's, training their new mental health ambassadors and working with each year group, exploring our mental health and the impact that change can have.

Year 3 have had a wonderful time this morning with Aislinn from She spoke to us about our mental health and introduced us to our new High Fivers. ❤️
