Cervical Cancer Prevention Week

Cervical cancer is largely preventable, but only if screening is up to date.

If you’re eligible and receive an invite for cervical screening, please book it. It’s quick, it’s important, and it could save your life.

Screening checks for HPV, the virus that can cause cervical cancer, often before any symptoms appear.

Don’t put it off.
Don’t ignore the letter.
Prevention starts with screening.

Blood pressure awareness

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, but it increases the risk of stroke and heart attack.

A simple blood pressure check only takes a few minutes and could make a real difference to your health.

You can get your blood pressure checked:
• At your GP practice
• At many local pharmacies

Not sure what your numbers mean?

New Year Health Reset

New year. Realistic goals.

You don’t need a full lifestyle overhaul to improve your health. Small, sustainable steps really do add up: better sleep, gentle movement, and keeping on top of your medications all make a difference.

If you’re invited for a medication or health review, please attend. These checks help keep you well and prevent problems later.

Start small. Stay consistent.

Many common infections don’t need a GP appointment.

With Pharmacy First, your local NHS pharmacy can assess and treat things like sore throats, ear infections, UTIs, shingles and infected bites, often the same day.

It’s quicker for you, and it helps free up GP appointments for patients who really need them.

Watch the video and think Pharmacy First next time you’re unwell.
Fast, expert NHS care, right in your local pharmacy.

🎥 RSV Vaccine – Important update

RSV can cause serious illness in older adults, particularly over winter.
The vaccine helps reduce the risk of severe infection and hospital admission.

Eligible adults aged 75–79 are invited for a single jab, often given alongside the flu vaccine.

If you’re eligible and haven’t booked yet:
👉 Request an appointment via patient triage at www.manorviewpractice.co.uk

or speak to our reception team.

Protect yourself and those around you this winter.
