Last week we held a pub quiz here at Haddon hall, it was a wonderful evening and we raised £100 for Marie Curie.

Angie created a great quiz with general knowledge rounds, music rounds and dingbats!

Our Chef Ian created a magnificent Chilli that we had at the break and Buxton brewery donated some free beer for the occasion, all in all it was a great evening thank you to all that came and we hope to see you at the next one.

We are delighted to have helped socialise five Guide Dogs puppies last week 🦮

The group enjoyed meeting our residents and staff and experiencing the care home environment. Puppies live with their volunteer puppy raisers from 8 weeks old until they are ready to go to guide dog training school, where they learn to guide a person with sight loss.

During their first year, they develop their confidence in different situations, such as shops, buses and trains, hairdressers, cafes and pubs. Our local puppies are supported by Steph, a Puppy Development Advisor for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Nutrition and Hydration Week is a great opportunity for our team to get creative and come up with new ways to provide our residents with enriching and exciting food and drinks. From smoothie stations to tea trollies, this is always one tasty week!
