Today was our 3rd Christmas party of the week and it was a belter!
We had a lovely meal in the ground floor dining room followed by Sophia the singing Harpist, she is brilliant, and has a fantastic voice.

DAY 10
Pastor Ollie and fellow singers from Buxton Community church paid us a visit!

Today we were truly blessed to enjoy the fabulous voices of Pastor Ollie and fellow singers from Buxton Community Church. Accompanied by Wendy on keyboard, we sang carols together, interspersed with a wonderful sense of humour, meaningful words and prayers from Pastor Ollie.

In true community spirit, everyone stayed to mix and mingle afterwards as the residents were rewarded with the chorists lovely company. Our thanks must go to Pastor Ollie and members of the church for sharing such a joyous, festive morning with us.

Today we had our first Christmas party, and there are still two more to go this week!🎄🪩

Some of our residents joined us for an early Christmas dinner with their tipple of choice, followed by a visit from Santa and lots of cracker pulling!

We sang along to Christmas songs and drew a Christmas raffle. Fun shared by everyone!🥰

🎄⭐Advent of Activities! Day 4⭐🎄

Today's advent of activities was a Brownies and Baileys Social. This morning, we enjoyed a lovely get-together with delicious brownies and a drop of Baileys, which could be taken on its own or in a glass of hot chocolate. Over our delicious treats, we talked about what Christmas meant to us, which was really emotive. Patricia, pictured, summed it all up when she said, ‘Christmas means family coming together’.

Now that definitely gets a big cheers from us!
