We have normal functioning telephones today. The issues we had yesterday afternoon were due to BT/EE service outages.

We are having telephone issues and are currently unable to make telephone calls out of the practice. If you are awaiting a triage/ telephone call back today, We advise you maybe sent a text message requesting you call 111. We will keep you updated.

Christmas Eve Early Closure
Please note our opening hours and closing hours for Christmas Eve.
We will be open from 8am till 4pm on 24/12/24.
Buxton Pharmacy will be open as normal, 8:30am to 6:30pm. Be sure to request for medications sooner than later to remained stocked up through the bank holidays.

We are having some issues with the telephones this morning. This is being investigated. Please keep trying as some calls are coming through to the practice. Alternatively you can use the dashboard on our website. If not urgent for this morning it would be best if patients could wait until this afternoon. Thank you.

GP Patient Survey Performance

The results from the annual GP Patient Survey are back with some Buxton GP practises scoring almost 100 per cent from patient feedback in some areas.

New Telephone System Installation

We have a new telephone system in place on 1st August 2024.

Although we shouldn't encounter any technical difficulties, we ask callers to be patient in the upcoming days. Staff will need time to adapt to the new system adjustments.

This new system will provide general improvements to our service. Most importantly, patients will be able to add themselves to a call back list, saving time for patients while they wait for their call.

We are happy to say that our EMIS system is back up and running this morning. We will now be open as normal.

Over the last few days, we have worked hard to decrease the backlog. However, we will still need some time to update patients records from the appointments arranged on Friday.

We thank you for your patience and we thank our staff for all their hard work and dedication.

~We are currently affected by a National outage of Emis - our clinical system.
We have been informed Emis is working to fix the issue, until then we have no access to patient medical records and our appointment system. We are only seeing urgent patients at this time. Please bear with us while we wait for this to be resolved.
