✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: TERESA ✨
Teresa Roper has now been part of the PT Corner family for 12 months, and it’s been fantastic having her in the community. 💪
She’s a regular at the 8am sessions, getting her workout done early and starting the day the right way. But if life gets busy, Teresa is more than happy to switch things up and join an evening session instead — making sure training still gets ticked off the list. Consistency is the name of the game.
Outside the gym, Teresa is the proud owner of Scrivener's Books, where the work doesn’t stop when the shop opens.
As Teresa puts it:
“I carry a lot of heavy books up and down five floors in the bookshop. PT Corner helps me to be strong enough to do it!” 📚💪
Always bringing a positive attitude and quietly getting the work done, Teresa is a brilliant part of the PT Corner community. We’re really glad to have her training with us. 💜

🚑 First Aid Level: Unlocked ✅
Callum and Dave have officially survived (and passed 👏) their First Aid at Work qualification!
A huge shoutout to the amazing Sam from for delivering another brilliant course.
We’ve been using Sam for the past few years because she’s local, incredibly knowledgeable, and somehow makes learning about CPR and recovery positions actually fun.
If you’re after a first aid qualification and want training that’s professional, engaging, and not death-by-PowerPoint… we’d highly recommend getting in touch with her.
Hopefully we never need to use it… but if we do, you’re in safe hands at PT Corner. 😉🚑

Massive shoutout to Annis & Bill who have just hit an incredible 500 sessions at PT Corner. 🙌
Annis joined us first… and then for Bill’s birthday she bought him a one-month trial to come and “give it a go.”
Safe to say that present worked pretty well — because he’s been a member ever since. 😂🎁
You’ll usually find them in our 6:30pm or 7:30pm SGPT sessions, putting the work in after a long day.
Consistent. Reliable. Quiet grafters.
Now, if you honestly ask Annis whether she enjoys the sessions, she’ll tell you…
“I don’t like exercising.”
But she understands how important it is. And she shows up anyway.
And that right there? That’s what gets results. 👏

500 sessions isn’t about loving every minute.

A special mention goes to Sandra, who won our 6-week challenge a few months ago.
She managed to lose an incredible 19 pounds in Body Weight (13 pounds of which was fat).
Here is her review of her experience:
I started at PT Corner six weeks ago as part of the 6-week challenge.
I have been to the gym before, but I’ve never taken gym classes. It has been amazing, and I actually enjoy the morning sessions at 7, which I wasn’t expecting to do!
So far, they have helped me lose 8.5kg (!!).
My blood pressure has also dropped to within normal range.
I feel less stressed at the start of the working day and am already fitter.
It’s friendly and supportive, with no pressure or judgement - just encouragement to keep going and do what you can.
I enjoy booking into a variety of different types of sessions that challenge me in various ways.
I never thought I’d see myself lifting a bar with weights on it or using kettlebells- but here I am. 😁
I’ll be continuing to go and look forward to feeling fitter and stronger.

We first set the facility up 2.5 years and we did this because both Dave and Callum were personal trainers at another local gym.
Personal training can be quite expensive, costing around £20-30 per one-hour session.
They found that lots of people were interested in personal training but just couldn’t afford it.
So they wanted to make it more affordable and more accessible to more people.
That is when they decided to set up PT Corner.
They moved from the 1-2-1 personal training model they used to offer and now offer ‘group personal training.’
What does this mean?
It means you share a personal training session in a small group which reduces the price massively whilst still keeping that personal training involvement.
It also means you get multiple sessions throughout the month instead of perhaps just the one per week you could afford with 1-2-1 personal training.
