A somewhat boggy and soggy start to our first Buxton Hill Walk of the season, but even the typical Spring weather didn’t dampen our conversation as we ascended to Burbage Edge, spotting curlews on our way. From here we followed the national park boundary to the trig point, standing at 500m above sea level. After the obligatory photos and biscuits, we headed back to base, arriving at Zink as the sun began to shine. Cups of tea and amazing food at The Zink Project’s Eco-Cafe made it all worthwhile.
A lovely walk with a great group in some character-building conditions - many thanks to all who attended and to Zink for the warm welcome and food.
You too can get involved. Twice a month, one on a Friday, the other on a Saturday. These walks are free to everyone. Simply click the link here to find out more and how to book your place. https://www.derbyshiremind.org.uk/services/community-mental-wellbeing-services/buxton-hill-walks/
