No matter what your age, no matter what ailments or limitations you have with your movement, pilates will help you progress and improve your movement, it will enhance your well being , it will develop your social interaction, and so much more ……. pilates can be fancy movements on reformers that look impressive, but most importantly, it’s a practise that provides body awareness that develops and improves week by week, it provides confidence and a sense of achievement that you might not have gained otherwise. Cathy and Eileen were keen to give the equipment pilates a go and they improve and develop each week. I can’t wait to show you how far they have come by the end of term. So proud of their bravery and keenness to keep going and progress. Each week I see where we need to layer on movement to help facilitate understanding other movements. We reduce spring tension so not to flare up arthritis but focus on movement as this helps with our joints . We observe any imbalances, so we know what unilateral work to do for strength. Progress not perfection. Just remember you are never too old to start. Eileen started with me at 84 yrs old . It’s a privilege and reward to be a pilates teacher for all.
