ACCESS DID YOU KNOW?

There is no need to ring us at 8am for same day appointments...
PATIENTS RINGING AT 8AM MAY EXPERIENCE A LONGER WAIT ON PHONE.

We do have appointments that open every day for matters that cannot wait until the next day - these can be booked between 8-11am on the day. When these appointments have been fully booked the receptionist will pass your details to the duty GP to decide best course of action (which may include a face to face appointment).

Please only ask for a same day appointment when you are in the area and able to attend at short notice.

We also open appointments that can be booked up to 3 working days ahead for matters that need to be dealt with 'soon', and we also open pre-booked appointments during the day for routine matters or follow ups - up to 6 weeks ahead. Patients can book these online via NHS APP.

We are currently seeking a professional , friendly and enthusiastic part-time general registered nurse to join our team on a temporary basis for maternity cover. Necessary skills below. Must have experience in a primary care setting. . Particularly cervical cytology, INR dosing, wound care, chronic disease management, Intramuscular injections, adult and child immunisations, pill checks.
25-37.5 hours over 4-5 days
Successful applicants are required to provide a standard disclosure barring service check. Employer will meet disclosure expense.

FINAL SATURDAY CLINIC FOR FLU

Our Final weekend clinic for flu is on SATURDAY 8TH NOVEMBER

Patients in a clinical high risk category (see previous posts), over 65 patients , carers, homeless, care workers, pregnancy (any stage), children 2-3 year old at 31.8.25.

PART-TIME MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR REQUIRED
26 HOURS (over 5 weekdays)
Nantgarw Road Medical Centre is looking for a receptionist/administrator to work with our committed and friendly team, to start as soon as possible in an interesting and varied role.
Previous NHS/GP surgery experience is an advantage , but not a requirement - and we encourage candidates with transferrable experience to apply. Candidates must be computer literate and have a good telephone manner. Experience of EMISweb or Vision computer system an advantage. Experience of keyholding, customer service/telephonist roles/public facing roles is also advantageous.
Candidates need to be flexible , working 5 days a week within our core hours (Monday – Friday 8am – 6.30pm)

Duties will be a mixture of front of house reception work, first and second line telephonist duties, and associated administration. This will include booking appointments, patient follow up for test results, coordination of requests for medical reports, processing of incoming correspondence including requests via our online portals.
Successful applicants are required to provide a standard disclosure barring service check. Employer will meet disclosure expense. 20hrs , plus additional paid hours depending on the needs of surgery.
