Today we start work in Wales with one of our Autonomous Medics. Blending clinical capability with mobility, sustainability, and smart technology, Autonomous Medics deliver rapid, resilient, and adaptable care—anywhere, anytime. This Autonomous Medic Unit (AMU) is a fully equipped, self-contained medical capability that can deploy without reliance on external infrastructure. Using 4x4’s, independent power systems (solar & battery), digital connectivity and the use of HVO fuels means these units are sustainable.

We spent Good Friday with and the M2L Ultra. The M2L Ultra is a unique 50 mile heavily supported event following the Trans-Pennine Trail, the Manchester Ship Canal and the River Mersey from Manchester to Liverpool. The course is a well-marked, fast 50 mile race with a 14 hour cut-off, and is ideal for both the seasoned ultra-runner looking for a personal best on the distance and also a great introduction into ultra-running for beginners. Magnificent support from the GB Ultras team at 6 checkpoints.

This year we have linked up with Tactical Medical Rescue for your safety cover. TMR is a veteran owned and run, multi-award winning Welsh Private Ambulance company, covering Film, Television, sporting, corporate and local events. They have a variety of Frontline Emergency Ambulances, Marked RRV’s, 4x4 vehicles, quads and other first aid vehicles and medical centres. You may also have seen them under the name ULTRAMEDICS working on ultras across the UK.

Over the years they have been involved in events such as The Dragon Race, The London Marathon, Tour de Yorkshire, The World Triathlon in Leeds, Cardiff Half Marathon and ultra x running and many more bigger and smaller events nationwide. They have also worked with Channel 4, ITV, BBC, Apple, Amazon and the last blockbuster the ‘Expendables 4’ movie. "

While we hope you don't have any dramas on the day, rest assured you will never be far from help if needed during the race and at the finish.

Spent Saturday in South Wales with the great in Brechfa Forest. A fantastic day looking after all of the runners and crew. The weather was amazing !!

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the Honourable Chris Evans MP, the MP for Caerphilly, to our unit and training centre. After discussing some issues with him he was shown around the training centre and station.

Sunday 1st of March was St David’s Day and we had a team out with and their Brecon to Cardiff Extreme & Classic Ultras. The Brecon to Cardiff Ultra is a 43-mile, fully marked, point-to-point race following the Taff River from the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park to the outskirts of the Welsh capital. Now in its 12th year, this race has become a true classic of the UK ultra running calendar, selling out year after year. Some great gear for sale at the finish by
