What a fantastic day at Cherry Tree today! 🎉
Marcus visited us and our residents had an absolute blast 💥 Everyone joined in with singing 🎵 and the smiles said it all.

Group singing brings so many benefits for our residents. It lifts mood, encourages social connection, boosts memory, and helps people feel part of something special. Singing together supports emotional wellbeing while still allowing each resident to engage at their own pace and in their own way.

Marcus always makes sure our residents are treated as individuals, while also creating activities that bring everyone together as a group. Another joyful, meaningful moment shared at Cherry Tree 💚

🧧 Chinese New Year Preparations 🧧

Our residents, together with Bridget, have started creating beautiful Chinese New Year decorations today. It’s been a lovely afternoon filled with colour, creativity, and shared stories as we prepare to welcome the New Year together.

Activities like this are a wonderful way to celebrate different cultures, spark conversations, and bring everyone together. We’re so proud of our residents for getting involved and making the home feel festive and 🐉✨

I just want to say a huge thank you to our incredible team for your hard work, dedication, and genuine care for our lovely residents. I am always proud of you, but today I’m especially proud.

I’m delighted to share that our CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) inspection rated Cherry Tree as GOOD in Environment, Care and Support, Wellbeing, and Leadership. Care Inspectorate Wales inspects and regulates care services across Wales to ensure people receive safe, high-quality care, and this result truly reflects the compassion, commitment, and teamwork I see every day.
We are currently waiting for the final written report to be published.

We are never complacent. There is always room to grow, and we will continue to learn, develop, and improve to ensure we provide the best possible quality of care. Our aim is for Cherry Tree to be a place that feels genuinely homely, calm, and safe, where residents can be themselves and where we adapt to their individual needs and wishes.

I feel incredibly lucky to be the manager of such a kind, compassionate, and hardworking team.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to our OE Anju, and our CEO Basanta and Bishwa for their ongoing support and guidance.
They would also like to pass on their appreciation and thanks to the whole team for the dedication and hard work you show every single day.

Looking ahead, 2026 is about making Cherry Tree an even more beautiful place for our residents. We have lots planned and are excited to begin the year with such positive news.

Thank you to our residents, staff, families, visitors, and fellow professionals, and to everyone who walks through our doors and helps make Cherry Tree such a special place to live.

Lois spent a wonderful day at Cherry Tree Care Home enjoying 1:1 sessions with our residents and Enjoy-a-Bag Day. Each session was filled with smiles, meaningful conversation, and personalised activities, giving residents time to relax, engage, and enjoy special moments just for them 💖

💙 Big thank you to Mary 💙

Mary has been part of the Cherry Tree Care Home family for the past 10 years, working in our laundry and doing a job that is absolutely vital to daily life here. Clean clothes, fresh bedding, comfort, dignity and infection control don’t just happen. They happen because of people like Mary who quietly get on with it, day after day.

Mary is always helpful, positive, and smiling, no matter how busy things get. She’s one of those people who lifts the atmosphere just by being around and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team.

Thank you, Mary, for your hard work, dedication and for being you. Cherry Tree wouldn’t be the same without you 🌸👏
