We were delighted to welcome the Hatty Days Singers, who brought so much joy, laughter, and beautiful music to our residents today. The room was filled with smiles, clapping, and plenty of singing along 🎤😊

Singing is so important for our residents — it lifts mood, reduces anxiety, supports memory, and encourages social connection. Music has a wonderful way of reaching people, sparking memories, and bringing everyone together, no matter their abilities ❤️

Lovely visit today from Dewstow School 💛
Having children visit our older residents is so special and meaningful. These moments create beautiful connections across generations, bringing laughter, energy, and warmth into the home.

For our residents, spending time with children helps boost mood, reduce feelings of loneliness, and spark happy memories from their own younger years 👵👴✨ Conversations, smiles, and shared activities encourage engagement and emotional wellbeing.

For the children, these visits build empathy, kindness, and understanding of ageing. They learn respect, patience, and the value of listening to life stories that can’t be found in books 📚❤️

Today, Bridget and Louis treated us to an absolutely fantastic show, and what an atmosphere it created! 💃🕺
The iconic music of ABBA filled the room – timeless songs that spark memories, lift spirits, and get everyone moving. Bridget and Louis dressed us up for the occasion, turned the music up loud, and transformed the dining room into a proper disco with full disco lights! 🪩✨

were dancing, clapping along, smiling, laughing, and truly enjoying every moment. It was full of energy, happiness, and togetherness ❤️

Moments like this show just how important socialising and dining together are. Sharing music, movement, and meals helps reduce loneliness, encourages connection, boosts wellbeing, and creates a real sense of community. It’s about so much more than food—it’s about belonging and making memories 🌟

We would like to wish all the beautiful mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

We had a truly fabulous day filled with singing, dancing, pampering, and so many lovely visitors. The home was full of smiles, laughter, and love 💕
We even had a special visit from Brimbel, which brought extra joy to everyone 🐾✨

Mother’s Day began in the early 1900s, inspired by Anna Jarvis, to honour mothers and thank them for their love, care, and sacrifices. It’s a day dedicated to celebrating the incredible role mothers play in our lives—something we are proud to do here every day 💖

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating Barbara’s birthday here at Cherry Tree! 🎉

Barbara enjoyed a lovely lunch out with her family earlier in the day, and later returned to Cherry Tree where the celebrations continued with music, dancing, and of course plenty of cake shared with her family, residents, and our wonderful staff. 💃🎶🍰

It was a beautiful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and great company.

Happy Birthday Barbara! Wishing you good health, happiness, and many more wonderful celebrations ahead. Thank you for sharing your special day with all of us at Cherry Tree. ❤️

🌸 A Lovely End to February at Cherry Tree Care Home 🍒

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful final week of February filled with smiles, laughter and great company. From relaxing chats over tea to fun activities together, it has been a lovely way to close the month.

We spent time socialising, enjoying tasty treats and taking part in activities that keep both mind and body active. Moments like these remind us how important friendship, community and a warm environment are for everyone at Cherry Tree.
