Hello,

Last year someone kindly brought in chicks/ducks to hatch.

I cannot trace the contact down. Does anyone know who this was or know anyone who can assist around Easter time with a visit from chicks, ducklings or bunny rabbits. Or all three, residents love animal visits.

Animals need to be risk assessed to make sure there is no risk to residents but if anyone can supply any contacts.

But if anyone can assist with this for Easter, this would be awesome.

Ar Crick we like to celebrate. Next week is the start of Chinese NY. With this in mind I have had a full Size 3D dragon head made for us . The residents will help me paint and pop ribbons on him. They are having a Chinese meal on Thursday. We will also make Lanterns and do Chinese Horocopes.

We will also be celebrating Valentines Day with some 1940s love songs on the Friday and some other Valentines Day inspired acrivities.

it is nice to celebrate other cultures and offer a diverse programme of events to include staff, residents and their families. Also many of our residents have travelled or been stationed abroad and again this helps them reminisce.

Part 2 last week.

Although the activities is very often about having fun, we are also about wellbeing.

With this in mind we did a presentstion and quiz about the importance of fluids and questionnaire. We also did another 3 activities based around fluid intake to.try and encourage our residents to drink more: Tea tasting, exotic fruit tasting and cocktail making.

From the questionnaire we will be introducing a few new flavours and drinks in the coming weeks.
