Hello, its beginning to look alot like Christmas with this cold snap. So here goes, Christmas let's do this
Activities should be much more than bingo, arts & crafts and booking singers etc especially during important times of the year.
Activities are also all the things we may do in the big run up to Christmas. Being the central point in a large family. I sometimes moan about all the preparition and chores. So I tried to picture a Christmas without wrapping presents, going shopping, writing a card or decorating a tree, To be honest this wasn't a happy thought ( although its busy, if someone took it all away from me tomorrow, I'd really miss all the things I take for granted now)
With this in mind, we have hopefully put together seasonal activities to give residents a true sense of December and having a family Christmas.
Please also feel free to give me ideas or little family traditions you're loved one may hold dear, that we can consider incorparing to make their Christmas magical.
For this Christmas we have already packed boxes for children's donarions . We will also have card, bow, cracker and gift bag making, mini tree decorating , wreath arranging and making After Eight creams on our TO DO list. A giant Advent Calendar has also been made. Christmas is 90% about the preparation. We want our residents to experience this. ( We cannot however for our gentlemen recreate the last minute dash to the shops on Xmas Eve.
