We're into the most magical month of the year!!

For me this month hit and miss, I've been as consistance as I can be, whilst enjoying my social plans, and making incredible memories, but then I got taken out by Bronchitis, so the last few weeks have been giving my body plenty of rest and the foods it wants, but now I'm ready to start ticking as many boxes as I can again.

It feels so good to be back in the gym and moving my body again!

The past two weeks have been rough. What started as a sore throat turned into bronchitis, which meant complete rest, 100%. Even talking left me breathless and coughing, so the gym, running, and even yoga were totally off-limits. But I’m finally starting to feel like myself again, even if the occasional cough is still hanging around.

I’m easing back in: I’ve done a few gentle yoga classes to get my body moving this week, and now I’m back in the gym (along with those brutally early alarms). In another week or so, I’ll start reintroducing my running. It’s not like me to take total rest, but my body needed it, and now it’s telling me it’s ready to get going again.

Just a reminder that it’s okay to give our bodies what they need, whether that’s rest, movement, nutritious foods, not-so-nutritious foods, or in my case, chocolate biscuits 🍪. Life isn’t perfect, and neither is any fitness journey. It’s all about balance!

You need to appreciate where you are within your journey and enjoy it. We always want more, and wish the time away.

I always believe I could be doing more or better in all aspects of my life, which drives me but can be a curse.
Sometimes I forget to slow down, and enjoy the present, this is something I’m working on.

💜Focus on doing your best day in, day out 💜Remember you are amazing and capable of anything

Keep smashing your workouts, remember her 80/20 rule for your nutrition and most importantly enjoy every step of your journey 💞

SELF-CARE 💘

Self-care is SO important. I know I need to take time to myself to recharge and refocus so I can bring my best every day.
A few things I do for myself monthly/every few months are:
💅 Having my nails done
💇‍♀️ Getting my hair done
💆‍♀️ Having a sports massage
🛀 Taking a bubble bath
I also have a few weekly/daily priorities as well, those being:
🧘‍♀️ I try to attend one to two Yoga classes
🏋️‍♀️ Strength training
🚶‍♀️Walk 30 minutes a day
📖 Read a chapter of my book before I go to sleep to help me wind down.
As well as cooking nutritious meals 🍝 and spending time with those I love 🥰 These are just a few points for me, everyone needs something different. 💘
