➡️ Beating yourself up for past mistakes. Ask yourself how much longer are you going to punish yourself and how is this affecting your mood and life.
➡️ In your own head telling yourself that you are not good enough, making you feel depressed.
➡️ Envying other people you probably don't know and not appreciating what you do have.
➡️ Comparing yourself to others when you don’t have a clue what their lives are really like. They may envy the life you have.
➡️ Living in fear and self-doubt which is making you stressed and anxious. Which is keeping you from achieving what you want in your life.
➡️ Trying to please other people, because you are afraid to lose that connection with someone who probably doesn’t matter anyway. People who love you will understand if you say ‘no’.
➡️ Telling yourself what you cannot do and why you can’t do it. Instead of believing that you can achieve anything you want.
➡️ Living in the past and the ‘what if’s' instead of living in the moment and being present.
➡️ Looking in the mirror for imperfections because you don’t like who you are. That inner critic can feel like a relentless bully.
➡️ Trying to look perfect because you believe that if you look good, you will automatically feel good about yourself. Are you putting on a mask so no-one will know you are struggling?
➡️ Trying to take control of things and other people, because you cannot control your thoughts and feelings.
➡️ Shopping to buy things you don’t need to temporarily make yourself feel better. Or, appear a certain way to people who don’t really matter when you could be spending time with loved ones.
➡️ Don’t you find all this exhausting? What could you be doing with your time instead?
➡️ Living like this will cause stress, anxiety and depression. It’s a battle with yourself that you won’t win, if you don’t do anything about it.
➡️ What was said or done to you in your past to make you believe that you have to behave a certain way? Who made you feel that you are not good enough, and that no matter what you achieve, it will never be enough?
➡️ Successful people have had the same fears as you but they decided that enough was enough, that this way of living didn’t serve them. They did the inner work on themselves so they could be free to pursue their dreams.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. So, are you going to stay unhappy and stuck, or are you ready and willing to change, grow, move forward and be happy?
When you change and upgrade your mindset, it can have an incredible impact on your life and change the trajectory you are currently on. When you discover the root cause of why you act the way you do, that’s causing you so much pain and anguish, you can let it go. ✨
