Your neighbourhood health and wellbeing matters!

We’re inviting patients from our practice to come along to our Health & Wellbeing Event at Camborne Wesley Church & Centre on Wednesday 11 February to:

· Hear about local health services
· Share your ideas and views to shape local health and wellbeing plans

You can:
· Drop in anytime during the event anytime between 11am–4pm:

These events are for patients from: Carn to Coast, Godolphin Health, Harris Memorial Surgery, Leatside Health Centre and Veor Surgery that form part of the North Kerrier Neighbourhood Health Area.

These are the first events, with more happening across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly later this year.

We would like to thank everyone for all the kind gifts of chocolates and biscuits they have been very much appreciated and enjoyed by our team.

All proceeds from our raffle will go directly to the Children’s Cancer Unit at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

New research has confirmed that the HPV vaccination prevents cervical cancer.

Two new Cochrane reviews show strong and consistent evidence that HPV vaccines are effective in preventing cervical cancer and pre-cancerous changes, especially when given to young people before they are exposed to the virus.

Girls vaccinated before the age of 16 were found to be 80% less likely to develop cervical cancer. The reviews also confirm that HPV vaccines are only likely to cause minor, transient side effects such as a sore arm. The reviews were supported by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
