Do you have a healthy working environment?

To have a healthy working environment, make sure there is:

✅ Good ventilation which means a supply of fresh, clean air drawn from outside or a ventilation system
✅ A reasonable working temperature so it’s comfortable to work (usually at least 16°C, or 13°C for strenuous work, unless other laws require lower temperatures)
✅ Lighting suitable for the work being carried out

Ways to avoid stress when working from home.

✔️ Dress for work – it really makes you feel more ready for the working day.
✔️ Try and establish a routine with regular start and finish times.
✔️ Exercise – Every 25 minutes get up and stretch/move
✔️ Ensure you have a good supportive chair, ensure your screen is at the correct height and you have room for your legs to move.
✔️ Working from home can have many distractions but try and minimise these as much as possible.
✔️ Getting the right balance – don't get too task focussed. Life is messy at the moment and employers and managers need to understand and embrace this.

Latest statistics from the HSE reveal that, although falls from height are reducing, they are still one of the most common causes of injuries to employees and account for 29% of fatalities in the workplace. Employers are taking their responsibilities very seriously, not least because of the risks to a business, but also the number of lost working days every year as a result of injuries from falls from height.
