It's not too early to order any repeat prescriptions for medications, so you don’t run out over the festive period.
You can order your prescription via the NHS App, through your GP practice website in many cases, or by contacting your practice.

Changes to A&E check in at Addenbrookes Hospital
Addenbrookes Hospital are introducing a new triage and check-in system in their emergency department (ED), children’s ED and urgent care centre.

Patients arriving at the ED will be met by a member of staff and asked to check in using a touchscreen (iPad) at a kiosk. Based on the NHS111 system, the screen will ask you to provide your:

-name
-address and postcode
-the reason why you have come to the hospital (your symptoms).

The information you provide is assessed and the screen will tell you either to:
*stay in the ED for treatment
*go somewhere else to get the right treatment e.g., the urgent care centre

The system is linked directly to your health record in our patients’ electronic record system.

Benefits of the new digital check-in include:
*faster and more convenient access to care, reducing blockages during busy times, particularly over the winter
*reduced waiting times
*improved communication with healthcare teams
*easy access to personal information
*we are better able to manage resources to help our patients.

Help and support using the new check-in are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Video below will explain more.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The Healthy Choices Quiz offers a simple way to assess your lifestyle across six themes. Upon completion, it provides an overall score and signposts users to relevant free NHS digital tools and content.

The Healthy Choices Quiz provides an easy first step for those who want to feel healthier but may not know where to start. After capturing some basic demographic information and exploring different health motivations, the quiz asks a series of lifestyle questions across six main themes: movement, eating, alcohol consumption, smoking and va**ng, mental health and sleep. Users will then receive an overall score out of 10 based on their answers.
