At The Cambridgeshire Care Home our gratitude and appreciation goes to Anita who kindly donated more beautiful handmade twiddle squares for Residents living with Dementia.

Anita joined our recent Community Connections event Dementia Awareness Session and has since been kindly working with us to offer Residents their very own Twiddle square.

They are knitted or crocheted squares with ribbons, beads, buttons, and textures attached, designed to provide sensory stimulation and comfort for people with dementia, anxiety, or restlessness, helping to keep hands busy and calm, often made with leftover wool for charity.

If you have any unwanted wool, beads, buttons or ribbon please drop any donations into Reception so we can spread Anita's joy in our local community by making more to share out.

Staff Awards at The Cambridgeshire Care Home yesterday ahead of our staff Christmas party. Helena Jeffery, Rob Jeffery, Angie Ryan and Tina Popescu were proud to announce our Award Winners. They were joined by Residents who were excited to be part of the celebrations.

Congratulations go to Joy, Housekeeping Team, Tiggy Senior Carer, Laura Hospitality Supervisor, Dawn Wellbeing Team, Charlotte Residential Lead Kings Household, and the Team from Trinity Household headed by Gary Taverner Head of Care.

You have been lovingly nominated by Residents, Families and your colleagues ❤️ 💙 and you all truly deserve these awards and recognition for your outstanding care, hard work, efforts and support to our Residents, Families and each other.

And that's a wrap. The Cambridgeshire Care Home Residents Christmas party was a wonderful time, music by Lovely fabulous food by Kevin Bridges and his fellow Chefs and Kitchen Team, decorations and delicious cocktails by Tom Collen, Renata Bridges and Hospitality Team, friends and family all here and our local artisan traders in our Christmas Market. Thank you Karen's Kitchen- Haverhill and Friends. Always a lovely atmosphere ❤️ and a great buzz around the home.

Every effort is made by all our teams to ensure Residents and guests are catered for and included. We all had a jolly Holly Christmas time. And the generosity of Christmas carries on as we received three more hampers, thank you Debbie and Jemma your kindness is very much appreciated ### ❤️ 😍 💖

As we prepare for our Residents Christmas party at The Cambridgeshire Care Home today our special thanks go to our incredibly generous and kind Residents and their Families who have donated an amazing array of gifts, fizz, wine & spirits, chocs, notelets, perfume, jewellery and games plus homemade gifts from Karen's Kitchen- Haverhill and friends.......the list goes on.

We have been inundated with goodies galore and have made up 22 fundraising hampers. Our thanks to Liz who came in and immediately asked "can I help in anyway?" YES PLEASE XX was the answer. Liz kindly put the finishing touches to our beautiful hampers. Thank you Liz xx

Our famous hampers will support our Residents chosen charities, The Sick Children's Trust, Alzheimer's Research UK, Cancer Research UK and Teenage Cancer Trust

Tickets on sale in reception, £1.00 a strip, draw to take place Monday 15th December, all are welcome to come in and take part in our fundraising efforts to win a luxury hamper in time for Christmas 🎄 😀

As we prepare for our Residents Christmas party at The Cambridgeshire Care Home we are yet again blown away by our volunteer Lynda.

Lynda very kindly donates a hamper, every year, for our fundraising efforts. A most wonderful G & T hamper with delicious nibbles and a beautifully crafted hand made bowl from Hilda Tattersall a local ceramic artist.

Our Residents chosen charities for this year's fundraising efforts are The Sick Children's Trust Alzheimer's Research UK, Cancer Research UK and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Residents at The Cambridgeshire Care Home started the week with festive prize bingo, decorating the many Christmas trees around the home, writing cards for family, baking Christmas Biscuits and preparing the fruit for their Christmas Cakes, all finished off with a visit from The Banjo Man, always brilliant entertainment.

So much going on at The Cambridgeshire Care Home, meaningful activities including lots of choice for everyone 😊

Another fabulous Friday at The Cambridgeshire Care Home with great thanks to Helena, Rob and Paul Jeffery for giving us the gift of Zethna Autos who have been working really hard for many days over the last few months to complete a full valet of EVERY staff members car as a thank you for dedication, support, great care and the upmost dignity and respect given to our Residents and each other.

What a wonderful treat to show us how much you care and appreciate your staff. We are all very thankful and so very happy to be longstanding staff in a wonderful family, homely, care home ❤️ it is always a pleasure to come to work. We all have a huge feeling of pride and really enjoy making a difference to so many Residents and Families.

Thank you Zee and Co, you have worked so hard and brought us all much joy xx 😘 ❤️

Happy birthday to our Resident who turned 90 yesterday. A very special lunch with family who have travelled from afar to join in our specially prepared birthday celebrations.

At The Cambridgeshire Care Home all our teams get together to ensure every birthday is special and celebrated in style. The family had a wonderful memorable time together ❤️ ♥️ 💕 💖

Thanks to our Activities and Wellbeing Team, Dedicated Hospitality Team, Renata Bridges and Head Chef Kevin Bridges for making sure every detail and service was prepared and delivered to our high standards 👍 😀 👏

More wonderful activities and entertainment for Residents at The Cambridgeshire Care Home as standard.

We go by our motto, "You said We do" ensuring everyone has a choice, able to make suggestions and requests so we are supporting Residents independence.

Sing a longs, trips to Scotsdales Nursery and Garden Centre Ltd, music and movement plus the very popular knit and knatter plus great entertainment from Patrick Sawyer who has a wonderful selection of our favourite songs.
