Please find below details of when our surgeries will be open over the Christmas and New Year break.

Please remember to order your repeat prescriptions in plenty of time so that you do not run out of your medication over the holidays. The table below shows you when you will be able to collect your prescriptions, depending on the date you place your order.

Don't forget there are prescription collection points at Sawston, Linton and Shelford. Sign up today via cpicb.grantadispensing@nhs.net to pick up your medication 24/7, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Whilst we are closed, if you need urgent medical assistance please use NHS 111service. If you have an emergency that poses an immediate threat to life please ring 999.

We wish you all a healthy and peaceful holiday season.

AUTUMN COVID VACCINE PROGRAMME

It has come to our attention that NHS England may have used last year’s eligibility criteria for sending out this year’s Covid vaccine invitation letters. However, the criteria has changed since last year.

To confirm, this year you are eligible if you are:

* a resident in a care home for older adults
* aged 75 years and over
* aged 6 months and over and are severely immunocompromised

If you have received a letter please feel free to bring it along when you come in for your flu vaccine and we will be happy to double check your eligibility for you.

CERVICAL SCREENING (SMEAR TESTS) UPDATE

Cervical screening, which used to be caused a smear test, is a test to check the health of the cervix and help prevent cervical cancer.

This test is offered to people with a cervix aged 25 to 64.

Previously, smear test results were all sent by post. However, negative test results will now be sent via the NHS app. If the message sent remains unread for 72 hours, a letter will subsequently be sent.

Abnormal results will continue to be delivered by post.

For further information on cervical screening please go to https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/cervical-screening/what-is-cervical-screening/

Our Story

Our vision is to develop Granta into the single hub for all the healthcare needs of our patients. We want to guarantee that, whatever their needs and the social or healthcare setting they are in at the time, our patients will always have the support and care that they need from our team. We want to take on full responsibility for working with our practice population to promote health when they are well and to deliver the care needed when they fall ill. We would like to see Granta staff take pride in delivering a standard of care to our patients that they expect for themselves and their families.
