2025/2026 Flu & Covid Winter season

COVID - We have now delivered all the allocated COVID vaccination for the season and have none left.

FLU - We have limited children nasal flu left alongside flu vaccine for aged 65+, we won't be running any more clinics for these age groups please ask at reception and our nurses will be happy to vaccinate between patients whilst stocks last.

We have 230 flu vaccines for the age group 18-64 left and have sent out SMS's to those eligible. Please book in to our last clinic on 7th December.

Hospitilisations and deaths from flu have been increasing. Please book in to protect you, your loved ones and our community. You can visit www.cpics.org.uk/the-vaccinators/ for community clinics.

To date this season our team have given 420 Covid Vaccinations, and 1473 flu vaccinations

The Vaccinators Vaccines are the most effective way to prevent many infectious diseases.  They prevent millions of deaths worldwide every year.  Vaccination protects the people in your family and community – by helping to stop diseases spreading to people who cannot have vaccines, such as babies...

Today Tuesday 18th November, we have a number unplanned absences, resulting in a loss of several appointments.

We will do our best to triage and prioritise urgent acute needs today and you may be asked to visit an alternative location.

Please do not ask to be seen if you are able to speak with a community pharmacist and manage your condition through self care OR you can wait.

You can easily access lots of vital NHS advice and support through online tools that can be located via our page and website.

Local Services A range of NHS services are available in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. You can help us help you by accessing the right service at the right time.

IMPORTANT NEWS!!

Today Monday 10th November, we are currently experiencing unplanned absence amongst our GP & Nursing team staff. We are unable to offer appointments today without triage through our Duty Doctor.

You can receive helpful information and advice through your local pharmacy and find excellent advice on the NHS website for self care.

Please do not ask to be seen as an emergency on the day, unless you have a genuine acute medical need, this prevents us from dealing with patients who really do need our attention.

You may be offered appointments with our extended access provider please do consider these as an extension to our service.

Outside of our working hours you can contact NHS 111 or you can contact the walk in centre at St Neots between specific times as per the link on our website.

Cambourne Library expansion back on track

We’re pleased to announce that the expansion of Cambourne Library is now underway. Following a period of delay due to the need for additional expert advice and building-wide adaptations to meet updated regulations and compliance standards, construction work has officially resumed.

The newly refurbished library is scheduled to open in early 2026 and will offer a significantly larger and more versatile space.

Key features of the redevelopment include:
• A vibrant and engaging children’s area designed to inspire young readers.
• A dedicated meeting room to support community and group activities.
• Brand-new furniture and equipment throughout the facility.

In addition, the library will be home to Targeted Support services, offering children’s activities and resources in collaboration with our partners.

To better serve the community, we will also be extending our opening hours through the introduction of Open+ self-service technology, aligning library access with the operating hours of the adjacent health centre.

We know that our libraries are hugely valued by the communities they serve. That's why as a county council we are investing in Cambourne Library, as part of our Library Plus programme, to ensure the library continues to meet the needs of residents and benefits the community for years to come.

We look forward to welcoming you to the new Cambourne Library in 2026 and thank you for your continued support and patience during this exciting transformation.
