Cambourne Library reopens on 21 February!

After being closed since March 2025, we’re delighted to announce that Cambourne Library will reopen on Saturday 21 February, following a major investment to create an enhanced, modern library for the community.

Thanks to developer funding, the library has been transformed, with a space that’s a third larger, a new community meeting room available for hire, and an exciting new Children’s Library, including a sensory den and flexible space for popular children’s events.

We can’t wait to welcome customers back to explore the refreshed space, enjoy new events, and browse over £15,000 worth of brand-new book stock.

To allow more time for browsing, we will be open from 9-4 on Saturday 21st February. Normal hours will resume the following week.

Monkfield Medical Practice Art and Craft Group

Our next meeting is Wednesday 18th February 2026 2pm.

MMP art group provides an opportunity to have a go at lots of different types of arts and crafts in a friendly and welcoming setting. Established in late 2022, the group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon from 2.00p.m – 4.00p.m. Members share and learn new skills and chat over a cup of tea. Refreshments and craft materials are free of charge.

Members have found that this friendly group is a great way to boost your wellbeing – you can learn new skills, share your own interests, meet new friends and it provides a sense of purpose and enjoyment. We have enjoyed crochet, decoupage and mirror painting to name a few skills so far.

You can get oral contraception and emergency contraception directly from participating pharmacies, without needing a prescription or GP appointment. This makes accessing contraception quicker and more convenient, helping you stay in control of your s*xual health. Trained pharmacy teams can offer confidential advice and support to help you choose the right option for you. 💊🩺

Emergency contraception can stop you getting pregnant after unprotected s*x (s*x without contraception or when contraception might have failed). If you need emergency contraception after having unprotected s*x, speak to your local pharmacist as soon as you can. You need to use emergency contraception within 3 to 5 days of having unprotected s*x. ✨
