A sunny goodbye day at PAUS today!

We cannot believe that we’re closing another epic year on our beautiful site.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
☀️ Come top up your vitamin D today, we still have a few remaining spaces available throughout the day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧊 The last Ice O’Clock of the year starts at 3pm for that endorphin rush.

🗓️ After today, the team will be working endlessly on jobs we’re not able to do during public service, but the site will be closed for the guests, until we re-open our gates on the 1st of January and throughout the month.

MINGLE & JINGLE evening on Thursday — what a beautiful way to send our community off for Christmas, with a festive sing-along and plenty of shared joy. 🎄✨

🛀 Our last day open this year is Sunday 14th, and there are still a few bathing tickets available for Saturday and Sunday — do come and see us.

Traditional sauerkraut in the making at the Hilltop Bistro.

🥬 These beautiful terracotta barrels – designed specifically for fermentation and used all across Central Europe – have travelled with us all the way from Slovakia, Alexandra’s motherland.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👴 The smaller one at the front is especially precious: a gift from Alexandra’s dad, a big fan of all things fermented.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🥘 We’re delighted to see how popular our sauerkraut dishes have become with our guests, especially Segedín (pork, sauerkrautand cream stew) remains on as a weekly special… though judging by your feedback, it won’t be long before it joins our daily menu.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🎍And a truly unique dish – Novotočná kapustnica – will feature in a special menu inspired by customs and superstitions from across Europe, served on 1 January 2026 and throughout that weekend.

🥕🍅 We grow our own produce for the Hilltop Bistro using no-dig gardening method, our own seedlings & seeds and PAUS-made compost...

YES, we’re OPEN — and thriving in the rain today!

☔️ The videos below were taken today, proving that bathing in the rain isn’t just possible… it’s great fun. The steam with the rain drops on your skin — it all adds to the magic.

🚙 So far, neither of our team nor the guests who have already arrived have reported any difficult road conditions, but please please drive carefully especially when approaching any puddles; also keep good distance between you and the car in front of you.
