🌟 Thoughtful Thursday 🌟

Today we visited Hilton Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare for our final care home activity of the year.
The residents had a wonderful time decorating their baubles, filling the room with creativity, conversation and festive cheer.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Hilton Park for the lovely Christmas gift bags… it is truly appreciated. 🎄✨

Our team have felt truly privileged to spend time with the residents in the many care homes we’ve visited this year, and to be able to give something back to our community. Moments like these are a heartfelt reminder of why we do what we do.
We’re already excited to bring even more activities to everyone in 2026.

Maria and Mel spent a wonderful time at Barley Manor Care Home, Great Shelford yesterday, joining residents for some Christmas bauble making. There was plenty of fun, lots of chatting, and creativity flowing everywhere!

It was lovely to see everyone getting stuck in and adding their own sparkle to the decorations. Moments like these remind us how special the festive season truly is. ❤️

Yesterday we had the privilege of providing a funeral service at the beautiful Selwyn College Cambridge. With its stunning red brick and distinctive Gothic Revival architecture, the college offered a memorable and atmospheric setting for the day.

Chaplain Arabella Milbank-Robinson led the service with warmth and care.

A special thank you to Jon and Steve from Ely Funeral Service for coming along to lend a hand… your support is always appreciated.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Christmas Carol Service.
Simon Whittaker led a beautiful and comforting service with Stuart Wood and Helen Ellis reading bible verses and poems.
Everyone had the opportunity to light a candle when their loved one’s name was read aloud, it was truly moving to see each candle lit as the names were read.

We would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful team at the crematorium: Karen, Jenny and Steve, for providing such a fitting and welcoming space.
Our gratitude also goes to Gordon and Elf for preparing and serving the festive food and drinks, and to Sharon, Maria and Sally for arranging the event and warmly welcoming everyone who came through the door.

It was an honour to spend this meaningful evening with you all. 🌟

Thoughtful Thursday ✨

Today we visited Cherry Hinton Care Home for a festive afternoon of Christmas bauble decorating with some of the residents.

Mel and Maria enjoyed the conversations with the ladies… there was plenty of laughter and lots of sparkle as the baubles took shape.

A gentle reminder this Thoughtful Thursday of how meaningful it can be to spend time, share stories and bring a little joy to someone’s day.

This year we were delighted to take part in Dunelm’s Christmas Delivering Joy campaign… a wonderful initiative that helps ensure no one in our community goes without a gift this festive season.

Mel, Elf and Maria delivered the presents where they were welcomed by the manager, another Maria… and with two Maria’s together, there was definitely a little extra Christmas magic in the air.

Spreading a little kindness is what this season is all about.

Today the Weyman Elf (Mel) and Maria visited Cambridge Manor Care Home to share some festive cheer for their Elf Day.
A big thank you to everyone who welcomed us and joined in with our Christmas bauble-decorating activity. There was plenty of glitter involved… with a special shoutout to Della, who simply couldn’t get enough of it!

As we mark National Grief Awareness Week 2025, we join The Good Grief Trust in recognising this year’s theme: Growing with Grief.

Grief changes us, but it can also shape us. As we navigate loss, we learn new strengths, deepen our compassion and discover ways to carry our loved ones with us.
Growing with grief doesn’t mean “moving on” it means finding a way forward while honouring the past.

This week is a reminder that support is always available, and no one should face grief alone. We’re here for our community, offering space, understanding and a listening ear whenever it’s needed.
