We’re very proud to announce that our founder, Professor Roman Hovorka, has been named the 2025 Winner of the Manpei Suzuki International Prize for Diabetes Research.

The Selection Committee chose Prof. Hovorka for his pioneering work in developing glucose control algorithms for closed-loop insulin delivery systems, alongside his landmark clinical trials to show their safety and efficacy. His work has improved the quality of life for so many people living with type 1 diabetes and their families.

The awards ceremony will take place in March 2026.

It recognises decades of dedication, innovation, and impact. Congratulations, Roman 👏
