Our Story

Taank Optometrists is an award-winning independent opticians based in Mill Road, Cambridge. From annual eye exams, specialist services for eye conditions like glaucoma, and our collection of handpicked frames from around the world, which includes brands like Feb31st, Garrett Leight, Harry Lary’s, and Jono Hennessy, we take excellent care of your vision.

After a fire in a neighbouring property we’re currently operating from our fabulous new pop-up space to the rear of the bricks and mortar practice while refurbishments take place. It’s fully kitted out with the latest clinical equipment, an even larger stock of beautiful frames, and the same friendly faces--and excellent coffee--as you’ve come to expect. Drop by and see us!

Clinical expertise

Owner and Head Optometrist, Anjana Taank has over 20 years’ eye care experience. In addition to day to day treatment of her practice patients she also works at the Addenbrooke’s Hospital Glaucoma Clinic. For comfort and peace of mind, patients with suspected glaucoma receive an in-depth assessment in the reassuring, relaxed setting of Taank’s Mill Road practice before being referred to the hospital.
