🎉 Celebrating the Men of Cambridge Manor! 🎉

This November, we came together to honour Movember and International Men’s Day with an afternoon dedicated to all the inspiring men of Cambridge Manor. 🧔💙

Everyone gathered for drinks, tasty bites, great conversations, and—of course—a heartfelt toast to the incredible gentlemen who make our community so special. 🍻✨

At TLC Care, we’re excited to highlight the incredible journeys of our team members who bring their passion, dedication and heart to work each day. This week, we’re shining a light on Dilu Jalayath, our new Business Support Manager at TLC Cambridge Manor Care Home.

Here’s Dilu’s story in her own words:
My background is quite different from my current role — I originally trained in interior architecture and surveying and became a Chartered Historical Building Surveyor in the UK. Since joining TLC, I’ve discovered a real passion for HR and finance. I’ve completed my CIPD Level 5 qualification and look forward to continuing my studies in both HR and finance.

I joined TLC Care in August 2022 as a part-time Admin Assistant at Kailash Manor during its opening phase. Before that, I spent a short time at Karuna Manor, gaining valuable experience. Later, I moved to Carlton Court Care Home as a full-time Admin Assistant, then joined Cambridge Manor as Office Manager, before stepping into my current role as Business Support Manager.

TLC Care has been the first and only company I’ve worked for since arriving in the UK, and my journey has been incredibly rewarding. I truly love what I do — especially the team engagement sessions, which bring so much joy and connection to our workplace. My background in surveying and working with numbers has also helped me transition smoothly into the financial side of my role.

One of my biggest achievements has been growing from a part-time Admin Assistant to a management position. TLC has supported me every step of the way.

Moving from London to Cambridge in October 2024 was a big step, but the Cambridge Manor family made it such a smooth and positive transition. The support, understanding, and teamwork here make it an amazing place to work, and I would recommend TLC Care to anyone looking for a company that truly values its people and helps them grow.

🍽️ Food Tasting Success at Cambridge Manor! 🌟

This week we had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful Food Tasting Session for our residents, their relatives, and our dedicated team members. It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to come together, sample delicious dishes, and share valuable feedback that helps us continue delivering high-quality dining experiences.

The room was filled with smiles, great conversations, and plenty of happy taste-testers! 😄
A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen team for preparing such fantastic food and a fabulous three-course meal, and to everyone who joined us and contributed their thoughts.

At Cambridge Manor, we’re always striving to make mealtimes enjoyable, nutritious, and personalised — and events like this help us do exactly that. ❤️

🎉 A Heart-Warming Orange-Themed Tea Party at Cambridge Manor! 🍊☕️

Last week, we hosted a beautiful tea party especially for our wonderful carers, complete with delicious sweet and savoury treats, cold drinks, and comforting cups of tea — all in support of the Care Workers’ Charity.

Our carers took a well-deserved break, enjoyed time together, and celebrated the incredible work they do every single day. The orange theme brightened the room and made the event feel even more special! 🧡

It was fantastic to see so many smiles, and we’re thrilled that everyone enjoyed the afternoon. A huge thank-you to all our carers — your dedication, compassion, and hard work mean the world to us.
