Good luck to everyone running the Cambridge Half Marathon this Sunday! 🏃🏻‍♀️

Last year we received many calls on the day for post-marathon recovery body massage, so I wanted to share a quick reminder.

We will be open this Sunday and currently have a few slots available for those who may need help with muscle recovery, tension release, or simply to unwind after the race.

Lessons I learned from burnout:

• Burnout doesn’t just appear — it slowly builds in silence until one day it screams for attention.
• Rest is not a reward — it’s maintenance.
• Saying “yes” to everything slowly becomes saying “no” to yourself.
• Exhaustion doesn’t always mean you are hardworking; sometimes it means your systems are unsustainable.
• Burnout is not only about doing too much, but about not resting and caring for yourself enough.
• Protecting your energy is a life and business strategy, not selfishness.

Lifestyle changes, clear boundaries, and learning to recognise your body’s signals are essential. Massage, hobbies, time in nature, laughter, hugs, moving your body and proper nourishing meals are not luxuries — they are part of recovery and prevention.

Consistency grows from balance, not from over-pushing.
