We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Support Worker to join our exceptional, close‑knit team, supporting a fantastic male individual in his own home in Histon, Cambridge.
This role includes supporting someone with learning disabilities, autism, and complex care needs — ensuring he lives safely, independently, and with dignity.

This is a 24/7 service, offering a mix of day shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and sleep‑ins.

🌈 What You’ll Be Doing

Providing high‑quality, person‑centred support for a male adult with learning disabilities, autism, and complex care needs
Supporting with daily routines, communication, personal development, and community activities
Delivering safe, skilled support around specific complex care requirements (full training provided)
Encouraging independence, positive engagement, and wellbeing
Working collaboratively within a highly supportive, knowledgeable team
Bringing reliability, compassion, and positivity to every shift

Experience with learning disabilities, autism, or complex care
A calm, patient, person‑centred approach
Reliability, kindness, and dedication to high‑quality support
Flexibility to work within a 24/7 rota, including sleep‑ins, weekends, or bank shifts

Cambridge Dial-a-Ride offers community transport services across Cambridge, its suburbs, and East Cambridgeshire. This service is designed to support individuals and groups who may otherwise face challenges accessing transport.



Individual Membership is available for just £15 per year, with concessions offered to those holding a valid bus pass.
Group Membership
Open to organisations, clubs, and community groups. It enables them to arrange transport for their members, helping to improve quality of life and support attendance at events or meetings. An annual membership fee applies, and bookings are made by the organisation, which is invoiced directly by Cambridge Dial-a-Ride.
