💉 Don’t Let Flu Ruin Your Winter – Get Protected at Our Flu Clinic!

With flu cases already three times higher than this time last year, health officials are warning that this winter could be one of the toughest on record. NHS England chief executive Sir Jim Mackey has cautioned that hospitals are under significant pressure, with increased admissions and longer waits expected.

The best protection against flu is the flu vaccine, which helps your immune system fight off the virus if you’re exposed later in the season.

We’re holding a Flu Clinic at Heath Hayes Health Centre on Saturday 15th November for eligible patients.

You’re eligible for a free NHS flu jab if you are:

⚕️Aged 65 and over

⚕️Under 65 and in a clinical risk group

⚕️Pregnant

⚕️A carer or care home resident

⚕️Front-line health or social care worker

⚕️A close contact of someone with a weakened immune system

⚕️A child aged 2-3 eligible under the national vaccination programme

Reminder: The Carers Café is tomorrow, Thursday 25th September, at Heath Hayes Health Centre, 1.30–3.30pm.

Join in for a relaxed, practical, and informative session especially designed for carers. Learn the basics of first aid and life support, including CPR, the recovery position, how to deal with bleeds, and how to apply bandages.
