Anxiety isn’t something to battle. It’s something to understand.

I was away recently and spotted a t-shirt on the shelf that said “Anxiety is a liar.”
It didn’t sit right with me.
The phrase was repeated three times, almost like a command.
And all it does is push you straight into fight mode.
Challenge it. Fight it. Ignore it.

But that’s exactly what keeps you in survival mode.

Your brain isn’t trying to sabotage you.
It’s trying to protect you.
And when you understand why it reacts the way it does, everything softens.
You stop fighting yourself.
You stop spiralling.
Your whole system settles.

Self-awareness is the first step.

Do you ever notice how our minds love to zero in on the one thing we think we're bad at?

You could have so many strengths, so many things you manage beautifully, yet the moment you spot a wobble your attention goes straight there.

Suddenly the strengths fade into the background and the focus becomes the thing you feel you “should” be better at.

But confidence does not grow from constantly picking apart our weaknesses.

It grows from recognising what's already working and letting that part of us lead more often.

Tonight, take a moment and name one thing you are proud of yourself for. Something you handled well, a step you took, or even a moment you stayed grounded when things felt a bit much.

You are already far more capable than your mind sometimes gives you credit for. 🌻

I’m different these days.

People who’ve known me a while often tell me this and I think it’s because I’ve learned to live and breathe a Solution Focused approach.

I make a conscious effort to surround myself with people who think that way too.

Last night I attended my regular supervision session (a requirement of the National Council for Hypnotherapy) and it reminded me why that matters so much.

I choose group supervision because being with other Solution Focused professionals is both grounding and inspiring.

We learn from each other.
We challenge each other.
And we connect through a shared commitment to helping others move forward.

It ties beautifully to one of the pillars I teach my clients: Positive Interactions.

When you spend time around people who support you, stretch you and help you see what’s possible, your mindset expands
and your brain gets a healthy dose of those feel-good neurotransmitters I talk so much about.

Supporting others starts with supporting ourselves. 🌻

A little real-life check-in from me today!

Here I am, freshly done with my morning workout, rocking my pj’s and my E.T. glow-up t-shirt (yes, you read that right, E.T. is basically my new gym buddy). And Hercules is just lounging on the sofa watching me like, “You do you, human.”

I’ve chosen the path of least resistance when it comes to moving my body. I literally roll out of bed, hit play on a YouTube video, no gym membership, gym clothes or clear sky required. And let me tell you, I can absolutely feel the difference in my energy and mental clarity when I do this versus when I skip it.

This is one of the core pillars I share with my clients, feeding your mind and body with that little bit of movement can make a world of difference in your mental well-being. It's all about the positive neurotransmitters ✨

People rarely reach out because they want therapy.
They reach out because they’re tired.

Tired of pretending they’re fine.
Tired of hanging on by a thread.
Tired of surviving instead of actually living.

A recent client came to me for help with public speaking.
But once we got talking, it became clear it wasn’t really about standing in front of people.
It was about the pressure to be confident and calm on the outside,
when inside, her mind was running a mile a minute.

In our sessions, she learned to slow down.
To stop overthinking every tiny thing.
To focus on what she could control.

She started sleeping better.
