Dr. med. vet. Julia Ledger-Muennich, Veterinary Surgeon, MRCVS
Over the years I found that traditional veterinary practice did not always improve the patients to my satisfaction, leading me further afield to explore acupuncture and chiropractic practice. I was looking for treatments not to replace, but to actively complement, the traditional veterinary methods. I subsequently found that a more comprehensive and wide-ranging approach to animal well being was providing better results for my patients, so I opened up my own practice to include equine and canine chiropractic and veterinary acupuncture and herbal treatment. This created a happy medium offering a more holistic approach to animal well being backed up by my veterinary qualification and broad experience.
This proved to be such a successful combination that I now solely focus on chiropractic and veterinary acupuncture at my practice, while keeping up to date with the latest developments in conventional medicine. Through my Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) accredited work at four-star events I support my sporting patients up to Olympic standard.

The Holistic Hutt would like to introduce to you Sofia Graham

My name is Sofia Graham, and I qualified as a Veterinary Physiotherapist in 2012, from Canine and Equine Physiotherapy Training (CEPT). I’m a member of the Institute of Registered Animal and Veterinary Physiotherapists (IRVAP), and the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP). This is important because this means that I am qualified, and insured appropriately, and need to do a minimum of 25 hours of further training each year.

I have always wanted to work with animals, and feel very lucky to do what I do. I have also previously worked as a Canine Carer for Dogs Trust, and spent nearly three years working as a Canine Hydrotherapist.

During a physiotherapy appointment, I use lots of different techniques, depending on what is appropriate in each case. Alongside more ‘traditional’ physiotherapy techniques, such as massage, mobilisations, passive and active stretching, and exercise programmes, I use a lot of myofascial release techniques and acupressure. I also have a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy unit, and laser/phototherapy unit with blue/red/infrared heads, to use for a variety of conditions.
