To ensure the best care for you, we also offer a number of other specialist services:

• Domiciliary Home Visits (for those patients who are unable to come to us)

Even In Winter, Your Eyes Still Need Protection! ☀️🕶️

Don't put your sunglasses away just yet...

Winter sun can be just as damaging as summer sun, as harmful UV rays are always present. Even when it's cloudy, reflection off snow and ice can significantly intensify the amount of UV radiation reaching your eyes.

It is also important to know that, during winter, the sun is lower in the sky, which can allow UV rays to hit your eyes from more angles.

Meet Sue, our amazing Optical Advisor here at Pybus Opticians.

Sue is a very active person and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves travelling to explore new countries and spending time outdoors walking her dogs in the woods. She is a wonderful Nanny to her 3 lovely grandchildren.

Sue has been working with us for over 8 years now and has over 30 years experience in optics. Sue really loves our new Wolf Eyewear ladies range – their colourful frames offer eyewear that will enhance your features, complement your wardrobe, and boost your confidence.

Did you know 4.6 million people have been diagnosed with diabetes in the UK? 💡

Diabetes significantly affects eyesight, leading to conditions like:

• Diabetic Retinopathy: High blood sugar damages blood vessels in the retina.
• Blurry Vision: Fluctuations in blood sugar can temporarily swell the eye's lens.
• Increased risk of Glaucoma and early onset Cataracts.

Diabetic eye disease is a leading cause of vision loss, but early detection and treatment can prevent blindness in most cases.
