When to seek professional help for your baby?
If at two months your baby:
- seems floppy or stiff
- isn't moving arms and kicking with legs
- has flatten head and/or doesn't like turning head/ looking both directions
- doesn't tolerate tummy time
Please, do seek advice from your GP/ Health Visitor/ Paediatrician.
If you are in the UK, you can also refer your baby to Children's Therapy Services independently.

And, of course, you can reach out to me; at Little Folks Children's Physiotherapy I offer infant's assessment and currently have appointments available on Fridays and Saturdays.

Exciting project! Foreland's Field of Dreams started collecting funds for building a community disability sport, leisure and training hub for people with complex needs.
Something that is very much needed in Kent!

At Little Folks Children's Physiotherapy we provide a specialised neuro-paediatric programme called Early Intervention.
This intervention usually begins in the first year of life with infants who present with developmental delay or are at risk of delay or disability.
First year of life is critically important for cognitive and motor development due to most dynamic neuroplasticity and the goal of Early Intervention is to enhance infant's brain development through different positions and activities.
In future posts I plan to unpack what neuroplasticity is, who should access Early Intervention, and useful strategies to use etc. (hopefully in video form too!).
If any of that is of interest to you, stay tuned or get in touch!

Little bit more about your Physiotherapist :)

Name: Magdalena, but everyone calls me Magda

Where did you grow up? Gdynia, which is a port city in Poland.

Why did you become a physiotherapist? I love sport and since a young age I was involved in playing basketball and later rugby, so I developed appreciation for the art of Physiotherapy and massage early due to frequent injuries!

Why did you choose to work with kids? During Physiotherapy studies I was involved in a summer camp for children with various abilities organised by Red Cross Poland. Supporting physios during that camp was lots of fun and made me really appreciate Paediatric Physiotherapy.

Favourite toy: ball (especially gym ball!)

What do you like to do when you are not working? I love spending time outdoors: hiking, exploring local woods. I also love to swim and ride my bike.

What would you be if you weren't a Physio? Mermaid :)
