Coaching | Author | Nervous System Regulation Welcome to Yoga Health and Wellness — a space for body-led healing, nervous system regulation, and soul-rooted transformation. I’m Sarah — a trauma-informed Somatic Embodiment Practitioner, NLP/Hypnotherapy Coach, and long-time guide in the healing arts. For over 21 years, I’ve taught yoga and meditation as part of a holistic path to wellbeing — and my work has evolved to meet the deeper layers of what we carry. Today, I help you move from stress and overwhelm into a grounded sense of calm, clarity, and connection — using somatic tools, nervous system healing, and subconscious rewiring that gently shift things at the root. I also offer Shamanic healing, host Ecstatic Dance sessions where movement becomes medicine, and run small Reiki workshops to support your self-healing journey. There are days when your body feels fine on the surface, yet something underneath is quietly bracing.
A little rush of urgency.
A tightness you only notice when you finally sit down.
A sense that you are here, but not quite in yourself.

Most people think they need to push through moments like these.
But the body doesn’t soften through force, it softens through safety.

5 Simple Ways to Regulate Your Nervous System was created for those in-between moments.
The ones where you just need a small shift.
A breath.
A settling.
A way back into your own skin without effort.

These practices are gentle and immediate.
A hand on the heart, a slow sigh, a stretch that wakes the body from the inside.
They meet you where you are, and they work even on the days when you feel you’ve got nothing left to give.

If your system has been asking for a calmer rhythm, you can download the guide through my bio.
It’s the first button waiting for you.

There are moments when your body quietly tells you it cannot keep doing life at the same pace.
Not dramatically, just little signs. The tight shoulder that never quite softens, the mind that won’t stop rehearsing the day, the breath that stays shallow even when you sit down.

Most people think this is just stress.
But more often it is the nervous system sending up a flare, asking for a new rhythm rather than a quick fix.

Your Calm Compass was born from that place.
From years of watching people try to rest, only to find their bodies still bracing underneath.
From sitting with clients who felt tired, wired, overwhelmed and unsure how to get back to themselves.

This book offers a steady path back to calm.
Simple practices that help your body feel safer.
Gentle tools that settle the system.
A slower, kinder way of meeting yourself, so you no longer fall back into the same cycles of tension and fatigue.

If you have been longing for a calmer inner world, this is a beautiful place to begin.
The link is in my bio, first button waiting for you.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Not because you’re doing anything wrong, but because your body has already made up its mind long before you have.

Most people never talk about that part.
The nervous system holds the real story. It decides how much ease, safety and possibility you’re allowed to feel, even when your conscious mind is trying so hard to shift things.

If you’ve been journalling, meditating, breathing your way through something… yet nothing truly sticks, there’s usually a deeper layer calling for attention.

This is where somatic coaching begins.
Not in the mind, but in the body.
In the quiet patterns underneath the patterns.
The places you tighten without noticing, collapse without choosing, or armour up before you’ve even understood why.

If something in you is asking for a different kind of shift, you can explore my 1:1 somatic coaching sessions.
They’re steady and gentle, rooted in nervous system regulation, somatic embodiment, and the deeper change work I’m trained in as a trauma-informed practitioner and NLP coach.

𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸

Every Saturday I send a short email — a glimpse of my week, a practical way to regulate your nervous system, one gentle practice, and what’s new in my world.

It might be blackberries ripening in the garden, ghee bubbling on the stove, or my daughter dreaming about a road trip with the cats! Always something real, and always paired with a way to steady your nervous system.

It’s not a newsletter, it’s a little note from me — with a pause, a reflection, and a nudge towards calm.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴.

Not through words—but through tightness, overwhelm, overthinking, shutdown, restlessness.
Messages wrapped in sensation.
Wisdom disguised as discomfort.

The problem?
No one ever taught you how to understand the language.

That’s what we do together.

We start right where you are—anxious, exhausted, stuck, or just ready for more.

And we gently, somatically, begin the journey toward where you want to go.
Not by pushing or forcing—but by listening.
By decoding the signals.
By learning how to respond to your system in a way that brings safety, clarity, and choice.

You begin to recognise the moments you freeze—and know how to come back.
You interrupt the spirals.
You soften your inner voice.
You begin to trust yourself.

This isn’t surface-level change.

This is your nervous system re-learning what it feels like to be home.

And you don’t have to do it alone.

Rest is not a luxury—it’s part of the rhythm of life. Breathe, pause, and honour your own natural flow. 💛

The key isn’t to get rid of stress but to expand your capacity to navigate it. 🌊

✨ Small, consistent somatic practices help you build resilience. Try this:

Notice the support beneath you.
Breathe in gently through your nose.
Exhale slowly, sighing out loud if that feels good.
Repeat, feeling your body settle.

Little by little, your nervous system learns: I can handle this. 💛

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
You’re always on the move.
Physically, mentally, emotionally.
A million tabs open.
To-do lists half-ticked.
Even rest feels… productive.

You keep it together by keeping it moving.
Busy hands. Busy brain.
Because if you stop… what then?

There’s something under the surface you haven’t had time to name.
And maybe that’s the point.
You stay three steps ahead so nothing catches up.

It’s subtle, but exhausting.
That nervous, caffeinated energy.
The inability to just be.
The way your body tenses at the idea of slowing down—even for good things.

This isn’t poor time management. It’s not lack of discipline.
It’s a nervous system that’s learnt to survive by staying in motion.

Somatic coaching meets you there—without asking you to suddenly “relax.”
With NLP and hypnotherapy tools, we work with your pace.
We build safety within, so stillness no longer feels threatening.

Imagine this:
You take a slower route—and it doesn’t spike your stress.
You pause—and you feel present, not panicked.
You finally stop—and your body sighs with relief, not fear.

If you’ve been living in a blur of motion…
It might be time to land.

Shamanic traditions have long understood what neuroscience is now proving—our bodies, emotions, and spirits are deeply connected.

🌿 In journeying, we enter a dreamlike state where the mind quiets, and deep wisdom emerges. It’s a way of accessing the nervous system’s inner compass.

✨ Have you ever experienced shamanic journeying? Let me know below!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲
You say you’re “just a bit snappy lately.”
That it’s the kids, the emails, the traffic.
That your patience is thin. Your fuse, short.
But truthfully?
You’ve been living on the edge for a while now.

You can feel it.
In the clench of your jaw.
The way you brace for interruptions.
The way small things feel personal.

And you hate that feeling.
Because you’re not an angry person.
You’re trying so hard to stay calm, stay kind, stay nice.
But your nervous system is shouting through gritted teeth:
“I can’t hold this all anymore.”

This isn’t just “bad mood” territory.
It’s what happens when your body is stuck in defence mode,
still trying to protect you from pressure that’s become your normal.

Somatic coaching helps you step out of that chronic tension—without guilt, and without needing to numb or ignore it.
With NLP and hypnotherapy tools, we work with what your body is trying to say underneath the edge.
It’s not about “fixing” the reaction.
It’s about listening, so it doesn’t have to yell.

Imagine feeling steady again.
Still responsive, but no longer reactive.
You hear the noise, but it doesn’t pierce.
You’re in charge, not the heat in your chest.

You don’t have to keep living on the rattled edge.
Do you want to find your centre again...I can help.
