Wow! What an outstanding achievement by 4 very competent members of the Castle Point Leisure team over the past few days. They all have successfully completed their 3 day First Aid at Work qualification with us.

Their commitment to learning the topics and getting involved with each assessment was inspiring to see! They honestly did amazing… and we think they enjoyed the reward of a full trauma scenario with our lead IQA lying at the bottom of stairs, covered in blood and unconscious. But it’s ok, because they used teamwork to save the day!

Did you know that women are statistically less likely to receive bystander CPR than a man due to bystanders being concerned about exposing the chest during a cardiac arrest? At ETA Medical Ltd, we have female and male manikins to try and overcome that fear and increase the statistic of bystander CPR.

Here at ETA, we like to ensure that each learner goes away feeling confident and competent in any situation. We are extremely proud to be an advocate for CPR in Females as statistics show that females are less likely to receive bystander CPR. This needs to change! We are delighted to have our own female CPR manikins, and we encourage all learners to give it a try!
