Well done on a great year rhiset_health! We’ve all loved working with you. Enjoy a break with family now. Looking forward to all the amazing things you’ll do next year! xx

That’s a wrap for 2025 ✨

This year I stepped out of my comfort zone and away from the NHS after 16 years (still can’t believe I’ve lived in the UK that long).

Although not without its challenges, it has by far been the best decision. Having control over my working life and more importantly my family life has been worth it.

I completed a PG Cert for active women ( whilst juggling a new born)which has given me the confidence and knowledge to support women being active without the barrier of Pelvic Floor dysfunction

Thankyou to all my lovely patients (and babies) for trusting me as part of your journey and so thankful to have the support of some awesome colleagues/ friends

One final busy clinic then family time.

Looking forward to helping more women in 2026 and have some very exciting plans to do that 💪

"I wish I'd seen you sooner!" is the most common comment we receive in our clinic.

This is a great example of how specialist & targeted pelvic physiotherapy intervention can help women with symptoms of

This lady had been taken over by her symptoms of prolapse. She was struggling daily with the discomfort of pelvic heaviness and bladder urgency. In desperation, she booked to see a number of specialists who offered useful advice but no physiotherapy. Her consultant had simply said (without examination) I'll pop you on the surgery list, but it'll be years before you're seen and you'll definitely need surgery then.

😠

By the time she had come into our physio clinic, this lady was tearful and fearful. She had stopped her much-loved daily walks and was spending a lot of time at home and on the sofa. She searched for answers in online chat groups and forums but just felt a rise in her anxiety.

😢

Our assessment showed that her pelvic floor was pushing as opposed to lifting. She was holding her breath and sucking in - almost constantly through the day.

😩

We taught her to breathe.

We taught her to squeeze correctly.

We helped her to move and release gripping tension.

We encouraged her to work at home daily.

😃

Her 2-week review demonstrated structural similarities within the pelvis. The prolapses were still there. But she had started to feel better. She visited the toilet every day to empty her bowels, it felt easier and less stressful. Her bladder was quieter and she could practice holding on between visits. She had started short walks again and absolutely loved it! But she was super fearful of the symptoms returning.

We progressed her pelvic floor training, we included more activity and exercise.

😊

At her next 4-week review, she arrived beaming and a little flushed. She had just completed a 10km walk up to the clinic. "I'm fixed" - she said! "I'm walking again, I feel healthy again, I feel confident again! I'm walking 10,000 steps a day again. Thank you so much!"

It's not always as easy as this but you'll only know if you take the first step. Are you ready to take that step with us? We're here and ready for you!

🤱🏽Are you a new mum?

🚶🏻‍♀️Do you want to know how to do more exercise than just walking?

🏃🏿‍♀️‍➡️Are you eager to get back to or start running?

🏋🏼‍♀️ Have you seen post natal exercise classes and not sure if they're something you can do?

Our birth & beyond assessment will give you a specialist examination of all areas of your body affected by pregnancy and childbirth. Our physiotherapists are experienced in identifying what's normal and what's not in the post part period. We can provide you with the advice and guidance you need to feel confident in returning to activity, exercise and fitness.

Our assessment includes:
- posture
- breathing
- joint movement
- stability
- abdominals
- hips
- pelvic floor
and anything you bring to our attention during the assessment.

After each assessment, you will receive a bespoke home programme of exercises and stretches to get you started on your recovery road. Each programme will include useful video tutorials to help you feel more confident.

If needed, you will be provided with options for physiotherapy treatments in clinic using a variety of techniques and tools. We can discuss this with you after your assessment.

As you progress and feel more confident, we will network with other like-minded professionals who can take you further into exercise and fitness training.

We have appointments available each week and you can easily book online in our 🔗
