Mandy has kindly told us what its like to work with her family as a carer.

"I've been working in care for 35 years and my granddaughters loved my stories. I would take them to the Christmas parties and events, they would love to join in the events at a very young age. They were so kind to the Service Users and would love to get involved with activities with them. It was no surprise to me when they took on the roles as carers. Its lovely that we all work at VCS, we have extended our family at home.

I am so proud of them! Their care, compassion and real kindness.

Pollen levels will be high at times especially across England and Wales.

There are things you can do to ease your symptoms of when pollen levels are high:

✅ put Vaseline around your nostrils to trap pollen
✅ wear wraparound sunglasses to stop pollen getting into your eyes
✅ shower and change your clothes after you have been outside to wash pollen off
✅ keep windows and doors shut as much as possible
✅ vacuum regularly and dust with a damp cloth

❌ do not cut grass or walk on grass
❌ do not spend too much time outside
❌ do not keep fresh flowers in the house
❌ do not smoke or be around smoke
❌ do not dry clothes outside – they can catch pollen
