Today our topic is the Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver for men and specifically for woman. Fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is becoming increasingly common, particularly in women, but the great news is that it’s often reversible with the right lifestyle changes! 🌿

Here’s how you can take action:

✅ Eat Healthy: Focus on whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and healthy fats like avocados. Avoid refined sugars and processed foods.
✅ Exercise: Just 150 minutes of moderate activity a week can make a big difference in reducing liver fat.
✅ Weight Management: Even losing just 5-10% of your body weight can help improve liver health.
✅ Supplements: Consider Omega-3s, Vitamin E, or Milk Thistle, but always consult a healthcare provider to avoid interactions.
✅ Limit Alcohol: Reducing alcohol intake is crucial to protect your liver.

Six ways to help you to cope with stress and anxiety:
Occasional stress and anxiety are normal and necessary aspects of life, but chronic stress has significant negative effects on overall well-being. It can impact brain health, emotions, hormone production, mobility, immune system function, and even contribute to the development of chronic diseases. Therefore, it is crucial for clients to effectively manage stress for long-term health. If clients are struggling with stress and anxiety, it can affect their productivity, willingness to engage in exercise and healthy eating, and their ability to follow through with commitments. This article explores the science of stress, provides insights on explaining the physiological effects to clients, and offers research-backed techniques for healthy stress management. Stress can be categorized into psychosocial (mental) stress and physiological (physical) stress, with the latter involving unpleasant or painful experiences associated with potential bodily harm or threats to life, such as pain, hunger, and oxidative stress caused by exposure to toxins.

Psychosocial stress, arising from social threats and unmet needs, includes factors like social exclusion, achievement-related stress, negative emotions, and goal-oriented performance. When needs are not fulfilled, this stress can lead to anxiety. Both psychosocial and physiological stress can occur simultaneously, such as in cases where a diabetes diagnosis causes psychosocial stress and the disease itself poses physiological stress. This article primarily focuses on psychosocial stress, as medical settings typically address physiological stress.

The stress response, triggered by various stressors like threats or deadlines, involves a series of steps. Firstly, sensory information is relayed to the amygdala, which then signals the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus acts as a command center, communicating the impending threat to the body via the autonomic nervous system. This leads to increased energy availability and the release of adrenaline from the adrenal glands, enhancing bodily functions. If the threat persists, the HPA axis activates, resulting in the release of cortisol, known as the "stress hormone." Chronic stress can disrupt the cortisol balance and have significant effects on both mind and body.

As health, wellness, nutrition, or fitness coach, a key aspect of our job is the ability to assist clients in adopting healthier behaviours that promote physical, mental, and social wellbeing."

Healthcare experts understand that mere knowledge of the behaviors that impact health, whether positive or negative, does not often lead to actual changes in those behaviors. If it were as straightforward as being aware of the actions that promote good health, the prevalence of smoking, alcohol consumption, and the consumption of highly processed foods would be significantly reduced, while the majority of individuals worldwide would incorporate regular exercise into their daily routines. It is evident that modifying health behaviors encompasses a much more intricate process than merely possessing information on the subject. Read the full article in my website, link in bio
