Consequences help children understand choices, learn from mistakes, and build confidence. 🌟

I wneud canlyniadau yn fwy effeithiol:

- Link them to the behaviour and provide genuine praise: “Well done for tidying your toys - now we can read together.”
- Gwna’n siŵr eu bod nhw’n gyflym ac yn gyson fel bod dy blentyn yn gwybod beth i’w ddisgwyl.
- Use a calm tone and explain why the consequence is happening, especially as they get older.
- Cynigia ofod diogel iddyn nhw fyfyrio os oes angen, wedyn gad iddyn nhw roi cynnig arall arni.
- Follow through every time - consistency helps children understand and learn.

In support of the National Lottery’s Crossed Finger Selfie Day, we’re delighted to spotlight the ParkinSings Choir — a pioneering pilot project delivered here in Wales and funded through our Arts Health and Wellbeing National Lottery Fund. Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, it’s making a powerful difference to people living with Parkinson’s and their carers across the country.

Survey data from the start and end of the pilot shows clear improvements: participants reported a 20% boost in physical health, a 24% increase in voice control and strength, and 95% felt their vocal ability had improved. An impressive 97% — including carers — reported better wellbeing, reduced anxiety or lower levels of depression.

As one participant said:

“This was unique. We came together and created something wonderful with the only instrument we all possess — our voices. For once we were empowered, and we did it.”

What's one small thing you've done this week to take care of yourself?

Maybe you made soup. Took a nap. Spoke your mind.
Whatever it is - it matters. Let's celebrate it.

It may look like:
✨Saying no
✨Resting before you're tired
