We recently had the absolute pleasure of celebrating one of our truly amazing residents - Mr. Julian Moyle.

Julian is a former professional opera singer and for his 99th birthday his friends, family and fellow performers arranged a concert in his honour

It was a truly joyous occasion filled with love, laughter and some absolutely incredible music and singing.

Thank you again to everyone involved who made this such a special day.

As part of our vibrant activities programme we use our mini bus to go out on trips 3 times every week to a wide variety of destinations.

Yesterday we went to the Newport Wetlands Centre, it was a glorious day with blue skies and sunshine and just the perfect place to sit amongst nature.

Yesterday afternoon our and the dining team gave a talk about the importance of nutrition and hydration, at all ages but especially so as we get older.

They demonstrated how to make fresh fruit smoothies which are packed full of vitamins and all good nutrients, and how these can be easily done by people living in their own homes as a cost effective way to maintain good health.

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming some of the team from Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising this week.

They came to meet our wonderfully talented artist, Mrs. Vivien Burgess who had nominated Velindre as one of her chosen charities to donate the profits from the sale of her paintings at our recent exhibition.

We have had a wonderful afternoon getting ready to welcome in the

Fabulous entertainment which had us singing and dancing and as always our created the most delicious canapes which were enjoyed with a glass of fizz.

It is time to celebrate another long standing member of our team!

This time it is the truly wonderful Jenny Pace who has received her 10 year Long Service Award.

Jenny is an integral part of our dining team, she always ensures that every dish is presented and served beautifully and she is always ready to help anyone with anything and always does so with a smile.

Thank you Jenny for everything that you do and for being a part of our , we all love and appreciate you very much!!

You may remember the fantastic art exhibition that we held here in October featuring the amazing skills of our resident, Mrs. Vivien Burgess.

The Lord Mayor of Cardiff and his Lady Mayoress had kindly accepted our invitation to formally open the event but were unfortunately unable to attend on the day.

We were absolutely thrilled when they found some time in their hectic schedule and asked to come in to meet Vivien and to have the opportunity to see her work.

Our created the most delicious buffet and we were delighted to be able to show the and around our beautiful home.

What a great way to spend the afternoon of the Friday before Christmas!!

What started off as very civilized and gentle throwing of quickly descended into all out competitive throwing and my word there are some strong arms here🤣🤣and there were some very definite tactics being used as well!

It's been a busy time here at with everyone getting into the full swing of and embracing the 🎅🎄🎉🎊🎀🎁

This year in addition to the amazing tree and decorations throughout our home, we have introduced "The Grotto". This was a suggestion from several of our residents who asked for a magical place for the children (and grown ups!) to be able to enjoy, and thank you so much to our wonderful colleague Katie who created the balloon arch and to everyone who helped with all of the decorating.
